I'm getting rid of my counter top toaster!!!!
I do not have a lot of counter space and use a stove top toaster when camping sooooo why not at home! well this one work great on both electric (coil) stoves and (open flame ) gas stoves. so bye bye counter top toaster. This "camp" toaster folds and stores nicely with my pot lids in a small space. and at $13, wonderful !

Finally! One That Works Well!
I have tried so many of this type of toaster and end up either giving them away (with a full warning) or tossing. This one works great! I've used on a propane stove and on a grate over a campfire with success. Bonus? I can often put 2 pieces of bread on it at once and still get even toasting! It seems that it will last a long time. I'd buy again.

The bread gets hot and a little crusty.
Notice the discoloration on the mesh, that was after two uses and it kept getting worse, and the plate warped concave too. Also at first the edges of the bread got charred before I really had 'toast'.I got the whole thing to work better by keeping the temperature on the gas stove pretty low, then I could leave the bread on longer for more color, but it took a while.The handle works well, it doesn't get hot and holds the plate securely. Most importantly for my minimalist life, it's small. For years I toasted everything straight on the gas burner but I was hoping to minimize the mess with this thing, which, it did do that.In summary, with patience I could get warm bread with a crusty surface, and isn't that Toast.

Handle missing!
Pan arrived without the handle, no way to contact to have a handle sent so had to order a replacement and have to return the pan. If I didn’t want the pan would simply return for a refund as have to take pan to a location to return. Disappointing!!

Best toast I've ever made, even better than my elecric toaster.
The toast was absolutely delicious when I made it on my RV gas stove top! I used to have one of those contraptions that had four wire cris-crossing each other...what a night mare! My husband says he loves this toast. God bless the person who invented this one!
