Delightful and Educational
First of all, I really like the beautifully drawn pictures, although without the pictures, the story is already enjoyable. Rada is a sweet little girl who appreciates the stories that her grandma Baba tells her. Baba is nostalgic of Bulgarian tradition, which her son, Rada's father chooses not to follow. During their visit to the zoo, Baba fills Rada's mind with fascinating fairy tales and legends from their homeland. Along with Rada, I not only learned about Penda and Pijo and Samodivis, but also how to make Martenitsi. It's a heartwarming story to share among friends and family.

A gift to us from Bulgaria's children
The end of winter brings an especially happy season in Bulgaria. Grandma March with her last unpredictable storms is urged to rest for another year. Storks that migrated away for the winter return to their nests, and trees and bushes start to bloom. Close friends everywhere make traditional red and white martenitsas for each other. This heart-warming story tells how it happens - and how children and parents can put together their own martenitsas gifts to carry on the tradition.

WOnderful little book
This was a wonderful little book. I applaud the one who created the pictures throughout it. The story line is based on Rada's Bulgarian family and when her grandparents visit her home. Rada hadn't known much of her family's history until that point.Side Note: This little books are meaningful and is written extremely well. If you're looking for a book to read to your little one, you may want to check this authors books.

Lovely illustrated story
Why wear red and martenitsi? What do you make the night before March first, and wear the next day? In this lovely illustrated book with instructions at the end, children will learn more about Bulgarian traditions, Blagovets, and martenitsi. Ronesa Aveela tells a story, and along with it, the importance of stories teaching Bulgarian heritage and culture, passing it down from generation to generation.

BELIEVE IN YOUR TRADITIONS
Rada gets a visit from grandma Baba. Rada's parents have let slip the old Bulgarian traditions from the 'old country', and Baba makes it her job to teach her grandchild about them. A delightful tale where the importance of ancient customs and traditions are held up as forces which can unite families and enable them to achieve not just togetherness, but also sculpt out a stronger identity. And some wonderful pictures accompanying the text for children of all ages to enjoy.

A Great Read!
My children really enjoyed The Miracle Stork (A Baba Treasure Chest story Book 2) by Ronesa Aveela. This is a quick read, around 20 minutes and it is perfect for bedtime reading. The story of Rada and her grandmother was very sweet, and my children loved learning about Bulgarian traditions. At the back of the book, there are instructions on how to make your own Penda and Pijo Martenitsi — which is something we are going to attempt to make today! A great read!

So sweet!
Sweet story, full of values. I really loved the fact that there was a "how to" guide at the end.The drawings were exceptional - they looked like something an amazingly talented kid could come up with, if that makes sense. It really is a beautiful book, although I'd recommend to purchase a physical copy rather than the eBook so you can colour in the shapes at the end!
