This is an excellent homeowner grade tool
I’m not a pro landscaper, I don’t do dozens of lawns each week, I don’t use my line trimmer to clear cut forests. My home sits on 1.5 acres of land that I mow/trim on a pretty typical schedule. This trimmer is an excellent tool for my usage. It starts up easily, every time - just follow the instructions on the housing. It runs like a champ, and feels comfortable for me (6’2”). Just move the adjustable handle to suit you. Use the right mix of fuel. Use good line. And use the tool for its intended purpose - trimming! I know every time I go out to do the lawn I will pull the trimmer out of the shed, has it up, and go get it done. No hassles, no issues, no delays. It just does the job well. And then I put it away until the next time I do the lawn.If you use a line trimmer for a living, you’re not going to consider this unit - it’s not for your duty cycle. This is a homeowner grade line trimmer and I’m a homeowner that needs to trim. If I didn’t have it already, I’d definitely buy it.

Better than expected
I needed a string trimmer to maintain my lawn but didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a name brand. It was very easy to assemble with straightforward directions. The start up instructions can be confusing if you’ve never used a gas trimmer before.I had to start it up a few times before it would continuously run on its own, but that was expected.Overall it performs well and is easy to handle. It’s got enough weight to it that it doesn’t wiggle or jerk easily when full throttle, but it’s not heavy enough to cause joint pain after using it for an hour or two.I recommend getting better string as there’s very little included and it’s not the best quality.

Pretty good so far!
The media could not be loaded. Out of the box it really impressed me with its ease to put together. It also impressed me that it already came fully wound with string as well as enough oil to make a gallon of premix. The first thirty minutes of starting and running the idle seemed a little low and would die out if the trigger wasn’t touched in about 10 seconds. After weedeating the lawn for about an hour the idle has improved and will stay running. (I believe it’s just gotta get all the air out of the system) the engine size worried me but so far as long as your weed eating it does great and doesn’t seem to bog to much with the bigger stuff. I haven’t tried any attachments it says it can take but it’s pretty decent for around the house. Only gripe would probably be a sling to help hold it if you’re using it for a long time. I’m about 6 foot tall and it’s a hair short but the handle moves wherever you want it so it’s very manageable.

Power, ergonomics, and versatily. Love my Husqvarna 128LD!
I love my Husqvarna 128LD trimmer! Even better yet, it can take attachments for more power tool versatility. This unit has plenty of power for residential use while commercial operators may like larger engines. This 28cc engine is plenty powerful and can handle any chore I have thrown at it. With a quick swap of attachments I can go from simple weed trimming with string, or brush cutting to even cutting small trees and pruning bigger trees of unwanted branches. I have been using Trimmer Plus attachments (pole saw and brush cutter) and they work great with this Husvarna unit. I've had it several months and I always get reliable starts. I have not run it continuously for more than two hours even on busy days around the yard (1.5 acres), but I have not had trouble with reliability and construction looks and feels very durable. I also like that it is ergonomic and lightweight relative to other models from other brands. All in all it is very easy to use, it is comfortable, reliable, and a very versatile tool given the option for trimmer attachments. I would recommend it and even buy it as a gift.

If You're on the fence about this one, JUST DO IT !
I've had this for a while but used it for the 1st Time Today. I've owned a Husquvarna Chain Saw for several Years now & figured if the Weed Trimmer worked as well as the Chain Saw has for Me it would be worth the purchase. It Did Not Disappoint ! - Cautionary Note : It'll Wear You Out !!! If You're Man Or Woman enough to use it, it will do the Job ! I don't know if this is considered to be a commercial Trimmer or not but I'd consider it to be. It is somewhat on the heavy side compared to others I've used, but it'll get the job done if You can handle it. The trigger that operates the headtakes some effort to get used to due to it being on the undersideof the shaft & the weight of the Trimmer pressing down while in use. The only need I can see as of now is I'm going to have to adjust the idle up a little as it has a tendency to shut off if You're not giving it a little gas to keep it going. All I can say about it at this point is if it gives Me as good of service as the Husquvarna 455 Rancher Chain Saw has, it will be money well spent as the Saw is the best I've ever owned. Best, PawPaw CUpdate : I have used this a good bit now, & it is a cutting 'Mochine !!! The only 2 quirks that I can see on this Trimmer are-as mentioned previously is the Trigger that operates the Head is in an awkward location as it is on the underside of the Shaft & the weight of the Trimmer is constantly pressing downward (Gravity) & the Trigger being sensitive to use it makes it difficult to keep the speed regulated while in use - it's in a constant state of wanting to run wide open & as good as this Trimmer cuts that just isn't necessary. Looks like to Me that there should be some type of throttle control that Husquvarna could come up with where You could "set it & forget it" instead of the Trigger type that's on it now. Another thing I don't particularly like is the bump type head, it would be more user friendly if it came with the type that uses the short lengths of pre cut Trimmer line that You replace when needed. There are several aftermarket Suppliers that offer these which I'm already looking into as a replacement. Again, this is an excellent Trimmer with just a couple of tweaks that would make it perfect IMO - No complaints with the performance as it'll get the job done ! Best, PawPaw C
