I didn't have high expectations for this, but this is a pretty good representation of a Negroni.If you want Negronis and you want them NOW... but don't want to shell out for whole bottles of gin, Campari, vermouth, then I would consider this as a more accessible option.It doesn't beat making your own but it's not far off. Just remember the other essential components (rocks glass, orange slice, BIG ice cube).

Finding a decent pre-mixed cocktail can be a bit of a minefield, but this one hits the spot well. If anyone was going to get it right, it was always going to be Tanqueray.This stuff has a good mix of flavours, with the bitterness of the gin being well balanced by the sweetness of the fruit. It's a pleasant 17.5% ABV, giving you a nice warm buzz with a relatively small amount.The bottle is only 50 cl, so it's not going to last forever, but it's enough for me to have half a medium-sized glass (with ice, of course!) to unwind on a Friday evening for a few weeks.
