Fast, complete germination
I ordered one pound of Scotts Pursue Blue Grama on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from Amazon and received the package with free delivery the same day. I planted the seed the next day, Monday, July 8. I'm creating a 400 square foot pocket prairie in my front yard, which gets full sun. Native grasses, like blue grama, are the matrix holding a smattering of native wildflowers. Today is one week later (July 15) and it seems every single blue grama seed has sprouted and is already half an inch tall. There are tens of thousands of baby blue grama seedlings in my nascent prairie. See the photo showing the ground covered in blue grama seedlings with a Monarch Butterfly laying an egg on a young swamp milkweed (asclepias incarnata) for perspective.

Works as advertised
I spread it on the ground, watered it twice a day for two weeks (as instructed) and voila! Clover. Highly recommend planting clover if you don't need a grass lawn for whatever reason (like, grass is way more high maintenance and robs the ground of nutrients) and just want something pretty, green and more robust. Highly recommend.

Great immediate growth
I babied this section of my lawn. Mix of blue grama(Scott's), sheep's fescue(Scott's) and buffalo grass(Outside Pride) and also some wildflowers. Tilled and laid 2-3 inches of compost then 1 inch of top dressing peat moss and alfalfa meal with the seed >.5inches in depth. Watered thoroughly even on the heavy side and covered with a straw blanket. Germination began inside of 2 days with a few hot days. After 5 days I saw some sprouts in my pregerminating buffalo grass and threw it in in which was hard to tell growth from these two. After a week I took the straw blanket off with a lot left over and installed some shade cloths since it is a hot dry summer. Watering consistently and have good coverage, very green but thin and about an inch average height. At this point it is up to me to keep on top of the watering but I can tell that if I do I will have a nice lawn strip out the other side.

It as good as the older version of this stuff
Grows too slow too small in Ohio. If you just want to add a little bit of clover it would be fine. The older version grew fast and big.

Great product for a white clover lawn
I bought this package of seed and I bought the Scott's wiz handheld Spreader and I mixed these seeds with some regular grass seed and I went out and I planted and I followed the instructions to water on a daily basis and after 3 days I had seeds that were sprouting already so it's very exciting.

Failed to germinate
I originally planted Scotts Blue Grama seed and was very happy with the results. However, there were several bare patches that didn't get watered adequately, so I decided to reseed with Buffalo grass. Prepped the soil exactly as instructed. Watered faithfully for a month. Aaaaand...nothing. Nada. Hardly a blade of grass popped up. Extremely disappointing. I sent in proof of purchase and requested a full refund, as their packaging says it's 100% guaranteed. If I get a full refund, I will amend this review. But until then, this product was worthless.

Not the best cloverseed on the market
I bought this to reseed bare spots in my lawn without much success. The germination rate was really low and I bought a second bag with similar results. Money down the drain……I found a product at Tractor Supply that germinated almost instantly and filled in the bare spots as I wanted.SIGH, so much for name-brand products!
