Padcaster Case for 12.9-Inch Tablets

The only reason it's worth using the Padcaster system instead of a cheap tripod, in my opinion, is to be able to plug in a microphone. But with the new case, the audio jack is blocked. I bought an audio-to-lightning port adapter, but the adapter won't fit through the Padcaster case to the lightning port either; the opening is too skinny. I was also hoping this new Padcaster case would allow me to leave the iPad in its case so there's less risk of it breaking, but it does not; I can only fit the iPad in the Padcaster case by taking it out of its protective case. I will probably stop using the Padcaster and just go back to my cheap tripod with a wireless microphone instead.
