Revlon Colorstay Longwear Permanent Cream Colour

I’ve got dark brown hair and with some greys coming through. Ive tried both warm and cool dark browns by Clairol (permanent and Demi permanent) nice and easy and they seem to lightening my hair and didn’t cover my greys properly. I then ended up with dark roots coming in with the greys, a lighter gingery brown section and then dark brown to the ends due to build up of previews dyes. This dark brown by reckon is very dark brown but reddish in the sun. It fully covered the greys in my roots and the lighter patches too. So finally I have hair one colour. Won’t be using anything else now. Brilliant.

Perfect! The picture and colour on the box is much lighter to what it actually comes out like on your hair. It's a lovely dark brown, hair feels much healthier and nourished after using this hair colour. I would definitely recommend. Why pay hundreds at a hair salon when you can do the same job for a fraction of the price!!

I’m very happy with this product. The results are great. I dye my own hair all the time (I’m naturally dark blonde but I dye it much lighter) and have tried numerous other blonde dyes. They ALL have left my hair brassy which I have to tone. I’m used to it. But this product genuinely surprised me by leaving my hair a fabulous ashy blonde without needing any toner. Unheard of for me. The conditioner it comes with is also great. My hair just drank it up and it left it shiny and soft. As soon as I finish writing this review I’m off to order several more boxes!

My hair was previously bleach blonde and I had used another brand to home dye my hair medium blonde 8A but my roots turned slightly auburn/orange. I washed my hair multiple times to get some of the dye out which helped lighten it again then after a couple of weeks I decided to get a darker blonde to cover the orange tones and grey roots appearing again. This dye, dark ash blonde has covered the orange and gave an all over brown/grey look to my hair. It turned out a bit darker than I thought it would be but I'm sure it will lighten a bit with washing. My hair feels soft and conditioned after use.

Pros:Colour matches the box, a lot of browns have copper undertones, this one does not. I have small hands and they barely reached my wristsDye leaves hair coarse and sticky. Bit disappointing as the promise of colouring grey is why I tried the product. See pic 2. Lighter brown is where greys are shining through.Overall a decent dye but it's no better on grey hair than most others I've tried.

Lovely colour, I had quite light hair, because it was more towards orange I decided to getting it slightly darker, but not brown, more like a light brown to dark blond. I find that all light browns on the market are a bit too dark for my taste. So I got this colour and mixed it with a dark blonde, because the ideea was to get rid of the orange tones but not to get brown. I am happy with the results, for me it looks lovely. Keep in mind that in the photos, the after is done with the lights on, so in dark the hair colour can be slightly darker.

This product should be avoided. I have ash brown hair, bought this to eliminate greys. Followed instructions carefully as I always do. I noticed half way through the colour looked odd. Washed out immediately and had dark bright red hair. By no means was it ash or brown. Subsequently spent a fortune getting the dye stripped out and then had to get my hair all cut off as the intensity of the dye would not lift properly and left me with darker yellow hair. Utterly furious
