Not bad
The chicken didn’t taste much like chicken but overall it was good.

I wouldnt' choose this again.
I opened the package and it smelled like a cardboard smell. I thought, maybe it's just me, lets see how it tastes. Did the "cooking", waited for it to cool, still smelled funky, tried it.....no....just no. One bite was all I got. It tastes of that same cardboard smell. Idk. I'll try something else from this brand before I sign off of them completely.

Not too bad
Followed the instructions, food cooked all the way through. Taste and texture were acceptable.I would definitely recommend bringing some parmesan and seasonings with you on your camping trip.

One of the better tasting backpacking meals I've had. Will buy again for sure.

Texture is different
This is easy and has great flavor but the texture left something to be desired. This is a great source to keep in your car for emergency situations.

Surprisingly tasty
I don't camp and am not a prepper but I do like to have some shelf stable stuff around the house in case of power outages, snow storms, etc. so I ordered this freeze dried meal to try. My spouse kept making excuses for not trying, so I finally decided to eat it for dinner while he was traveling. It was easy to prepare with clear instructions on adding the water, stirring, and timing (and a good warning to remove the oxygen packet first). The package was easy to open and reseal during "cooking." One of the spouse's concerns was whether it would actually feed two people. I took out about half and it was a fine dinner for me but I am smaller and eat less, so it may not have entirely fed the two of us. With some bread or a side of some kind, it would have been fine. I was really surprised at the taste - it was very good and balanced and everything rehydrated fine. At the end of the heating cycle, though, the meal was a bit lukewarm. I guess that's to be expected after letting it sit 15 minutes even starting with near boiling water. At home, I can microwave it, but if I was out camping, maybe have an insulated bag to put it in while it is being prepared. I zipped up the bag with the remaining half and put it in the fridge and will have it for dinner again tonight, this time with a piece of homemade sourdough bread that I baked today.
