Did not work in AsRock Rack W480D4U
I try to buy only Micron ECC RAM for any server or workstation build. This model# RAM was listed on Crucial's "upgrade my motherboard" RAM finder tool. I have found that basically, 95% of the time, that tool is correct and I've had no issues with what it selects.I don't know if the RAM is not compatible or the motherboard was bad or the CPU itself was bad. I returned everything. All I know is that my one experience with this exact RAM in this W480D4U motherboard, the RAM didn't work, so I can't recommend it.

Poweredge R740xd did not drop to 2933
These memories do did not work in a poweredge r740xd, in the manual and on the crucial site it says the server will drop them to 2933, but the server just shows no usable dimms.

Specs match but no joy
Meets All specifications for running in super micro X 12 SPL, but it does not work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Apparently, if you put in a xeon Silver 4310, which is bog standard middle of the road processor for this motherboard, the ram speed maxes out at 2666. Apparently, this ram won’t slow down.
