Classic game - on DS!
Arrived on time, in good condition. Simcity is a gaming classic ..... and here it is on DS.As Xmas is rapidly approaching, I've been buying a lot of preowned DS games as 'stocking fillers'. (And, I'll admit, a couple - like Europe, Squad Command, Rome & Worms - for myself to play too). Almost all the youngsters have a DS/2DS/3DS so these games make excellent small presents. BUT a couple of things to remember ......... 1. Make sure the description says the full game/instructions/case are included are loads that say 'cartridge only'. 2. Buy spare cases, because a lot will arrive in shabby cases, or more likely will be rammed through your front door slot, breaking the case in the process and those broken cases can have sharp plastic shards). 3. Order in good time as most are sent via standard RMail.

Pretty Good
I never played this game previously on any other console, I merely got it because I'm tired of watching the other half play the playstation, and I'd played most my games to death. I love designing and house building, so i have always played the Sims. This game was a bit tongue biting at first, it didn't quite explain things fully on the game, but if you read the manual through it makes much more sense. I found it a bit repetitive, hence the 4 stars not 5, and you ended up waiting around for something to happen. After about 3 goes I managed to get it right, getting power and water etc. and figuring it all out, not to say there aren't challenges when you're doing well!

Splendid port
Having been a fan of Sim City since the very first version on the PC, I was keen to give this a try. Overall they have done a great job in squeezing this game onto the DS.For those of you who have never played Sim City before, you take on the roll of Mayor in a newly founded city. You have to build roads, zone for industrial commercial and residential areas as well as building civic buildings such as schools and hospitals. The skill is to balance your spending with the income raised through taxes. All the usual features are here, with the exception of water pipes. You still need to have an enough water to supply the city, but no longer have to lay the pipes. There are two levels of zoom, so you can either look down over your city as a whole, or take a closer look at a particular area. There is also a "save the city" mode, where an existing city has to be rebuilt after a disaster. You have a set amount of time and money to reach the victory conditions. A tutorial section is available so new players can get the hang of how each building works and how to use the control interface. The touch screen works very well and it is actually easier to use than the PC version. My single gripe (and the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars) is that there is only a single save slot. Overall - Great Game
