SMTOER Single Tilt Prism: High-Accuracy Large Total Station Prism for TP-Style Ranging and Mapping (0 / -30 mm)

The prism glass is surprisingly well made with tight glass tolerances. I’ve sold prisms retail for years and this class appears to be pretty well made. The tilting frame has a solid aluminum yolk that will take a lot of abuse if it falls over on the prism rod. Probably the only shortfall of this prism is the plastic bushings were it tilts mounting onto the yoke assembly. I think I will have to keep a close eye on the wear in this area and adjust and replace the plastic washer bushings as needed. The rod threads are your standard 5/8 x 11 industry standard thread, and it mounted perfectly on my existing prism rods. I would say for the value of this prism, well worth the price

I use my SMTOER High-Accuracy Large Total Station Prism for mapping and ranging purposes in parks and recreational areas. The prism body is sturdy and holds its position well, and the mount is well made and is rugged enough for professional use. I especially like the bright orange body, which makes the prism easy to locate even at a distance, and the translucent cover keeps the optics safe between uses. I'm delighted with this prism.
