Feels very solid. Fits perfectly. Was shipped quickly. He seems to like it just fine.the buckle for the belly strap was annoyingly low under his body, but I just slid the whole strap around pretty easily to get it to the top. Otherwise it's annoying to get on and off.

I am blown away by the excellent quality of this genuine full grain leather harness! I have extensive lifelong experience using/handling a wide range of high quality leather gear/items with horse/dogs and items for myself. This is on par with very expensive top quality leather horse/dog gear! And I must say it's absolutley stunningly beautiful! Great execution of design, no corners were cut in the making of this harness!So the first thing to hit you when you open the bag is the glorious genuine leather smell! Then you will see the beautiful chocolate brown thick full grain leather with a great smooth finish to the top side, it has a wonderful soft feel. Very good quality hardware throughout is beautiful, no worries about any of it breaking! Buckles are nice roller buckles. Stitching is absolutely perfect upon close inspection throughout! The backside of the leather is finished too in the same color and is a buttery soft very short shaved nap suede. All edges are nicely/properly finished though they are not burnished (not a big deal to not be burnished).Whomever made this harness my hat is off to them! This was made by a master craftsman/woman and they clearly demonstrate mastery of their craft and a thorough understanding of how to use these materials, how to properly execute making this harness to properly fit a dog's physical structure and that no compromises were used in the manufacture of this harness! Rare traits indeed in this day and age!I can say without a doubt this is my 3rd favorite item to date I've gotten through the vine program. Make no mistake I get a lot of nice items, but high quality leather items are just the best! My 1st and 2nd favs are both very high quality leather bags. LOL.Sadly I do have an issue though...it's not big enough for my big guy! My service dog is a large male rottie, and I so want to put this harness on him and show it off! I wonder if they could make some strap extensions for it? I'll be keeping the harness either way as maybe my next service dog won't be as big (I dread the day when he won't be with me anymore) and it may fit. I can take this harness to an Amish harness shop and have them make them.Please please please...I beg you... make sure you only use high quality cleaner/conditioner/polish specially formulated to be used on leather! And treat it before you go out. Salt, water, dirt/mud are not friends to leather... but if it's properly cared for they will be less detrimental to the leather. I have been using this harness with my service dog in training for about a month now, and it does not disappoint. It is very stylish and made of genuine leather. It is well made with perfect stitching and no stray threads. The leather is thick and durable. It holds up well with my SDT who is a German Shepherd puppy who loves to chew on things. It is easy to put on and take off as well with all of the buckles; you don't have to open them all to slide them over the dog's head which is great for squirmy fur babies. Finally, it seems to resist dust and dirt. He rolls on the ground in it, yet the dirt slides right off of it. I don't know if it was intentionally made that way, but it is a plus for me. If you need to clean it, you can wipe it with a damp cloth and maybe use some leather oil.

Wow, what an incredibly nice harness! The leather is very real and thick with great stitching. The quality makes it seem like a good deal for the price. It would probably take on a nice polish if you’re willing to invest the time. If you want a premium harness that will last for as long as your dog allows it, then this is a great option!

My dog is just 50lbs and 3 years old, but we have been through at least five harnesses, and I thought it was time to get something a bit sturdier. She has a tendency to pull, and nylon harnesses just don't stand up to her strength. Although this was a rather expensive item, once you see it and feel it's quality, you'll understand that it is well worth the money.The leather is all top grain and much thicker than what you might expect. And the hardware is all solid brass, which is great for my pup who has to enter any body of water she sees weather it's a street puddle or the ocean! I expect this harness to outlive us both.

My boy is 105 lbs. This harness is beautiful and excellent quality, but it’s about 1.5 inches too short on both ends, so I will have to poke an extra hole. Luckily there is just enough space left to do so, but it would be better if it was just a little longer on each end.
