I am not an essential worker and have been asked to work from home with my three young kids during this COVID-19 pandemic. I love my kids and they love me - but they are still learning how to knock on the door and also like to play the sneaking game, where they try to sneak up on me as quietly as possible, as my back is facing the door. This lock was easily installed within a matter of minutes (I didn't even have to read the instructions). My quality of life has improved substantially. I have never been so grateful for a door lock.

Door knob is attractive. Instructions easy enough. Everything in installation went fine until final piece where you attach the interior handle with the provided set screw. The hole in the handle where the screw is to go through was not drilled large enough nor was it threaded. Because I needed this door to lock - to keep an family out of this room for their safety, I had to widen this hole. Which took an additional 40 minutes - no I don't have an extended tool kit. So almost an hour later I have a locking door. Annoyed.

A nice, basic, indoor lever handleset. It's complete with everything needed for a fresh install.I found it a fine fit for replacing my ancient Kwikset round-knobs, though I had to fix a poor strikeplate cut-out (a fault of the original carpenter). The satin-nickel finish matches the Schlage and Yale hardware I have installed nearby, though the curve of the lever is a little different-- not different enough to bother me.The pricing on this piece is lower here than at my local big box stores. The Amazon version also comes in an easy-open (cardboard) packaging, instead of the annoying and non-recyclable plastic clamshells used in B&M stores.Note this is the privacy version (has a simple lock). There's a matching "passage" version without the locking mechanism that should be a little cheaper.While I love my Schlage and Yale Security hardware, Kwikset pricing has made them my choice for low-traffic parts of my house. Recommended.

Just a little added security. For the price, it does it’s job well. Most modern homes use kwikset doorknobs and locks so this was super easy to install. It comes with the privacy. Honestly, it’s good to deter kids but it can easily be bypassed with a small screwdriver or a credit card. I’ve tried both and it was super easy to open the door while locked

These Kwikset Balboa levers are the best. Not only do they look much better than the brass dated knobs I had, but they are very quiet when you open or close it. Very smooth and well made. I am doing my whole house in these.

Unlike product I purchased from Home Depot, the set screw was not attached to the handle, okay no big deal... however after removing set screw from interior lever base, it would not thread through the hole, so returning to Amazon...

Love these Kwikset locks we installed throughout our new home. They look great and feel secure and good in your hand. Not the wobbly feel you get with some others that we looked at. Price was a bit less than in home improvement stores, plus they had plenty in stock. Saved time and money not having to chase around the area.

I love these! They look fabulous. I had a handyman install them - I wish I had installed them years ago. Just a pleasure to look at and use.
