Cultivate Disciplemaking: Growing Disciples Who Make Disciples

The book is written in a way that you can take one chapter per week for about 20 weeks. It really does make disciples who make disciples. Used this in Uganda as mission trip source material for training and they loved it.

As a pastor, I have used Cultivate Disciplemaking to develop our church's discipleship/disciplemaking strategy. It has been a game changer in discipling our people as well as helping them to start discipling others. The book is easy to understand and does not overwhelm people with daily homework. With that said, it is spiritually rich and deep and gives the reader/disciple much to chew on with each chapter or session. This process is definitely helping us turn acorns into oaks!

Kevin Blackwell and Randy Norris have given the church a great gift in Cultivating Disciplemaking. Not only do they lay out a simple yet effective process and pathway to make disciples, they encourage and equip readers along the way. Disciplemaking is the command and commission of Jesus and Kevin and Randy pull back the curtain to let us see how God is using their church to fulfill the Great Commission (and very effectively I might add!)

Kevin and Randy, both well-seasoned in ministry, have done an excellent job providing a thorough, yet adaptable tool for disciple-making. They cover the process well from new believer to reproducing believer. The four "I's" methodically present the process into a well-considered sequence of spiritual growth. I encourage pastors to order a personal copy and consider using it for one-on-one, one-on-few, and even one-on-many discipleship opportunities. This is a GREAT resource!

This book is a GREAT resource for understanding what it means to make disciples for Christ, and how to implement a biblical disciple-making strategy in your life, ministry, and church. I don’t think any other disciple-making book captures and explains this biblical practice the way Blackwell and Norris do.Breaking down disciple-making into 4 phases taken from Scripture, with each phase building on the previous, Blackwell and Norris help Christians realize the necessary steps a believer takes to become a disciple of Christ and to make disciples for Christ. This would be a great tool for your church. I highly recommend it!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this study! It has been such a powerful tool to better understand what a sincere and daily walk with Jesus can look like, with practical, applicable steps to take to go deeper in your relationship with Christ. This book is ideal for anyone in their faith journey. It doesn’t matter if you are a new believer or one who is looking for tools to impact others through the great commission. It takes the reader through four scripturally sound phases that ensures a strong foundation every Christian should know. The book is an ideal tool for small groups to grow from acorns to oaks!
