Overall, very happy with this product. Similar items are 3-4x as expensive elsewhere, so I was willing to go to a little extra effort to make these work.The detail of the casting is nice, and they are substantial enough that I think they will perform well as bookends. They come very securely packed in a nice box with an attractive photo of the contents on the outside, good for a gift.My only real complaint is that while the craggy "rock" at the base/back is a darker matte color, the figures themselves are a very monotone light grey with a little sheen to it. It doesn't look very convincing as an ancient stone statue. I used a little black and grey paint to highlight the details and distress them a bit and I'm very pleased with the result. The second pic with both statues shows them after I touched them up.For the price, worth the thirty minutes or so I spent painting the details. I think the recipient will love them.

I cant say enough. The quality of it and the likeness is incredible. Its simply awesome to have Isildur and Anarion watching and holding my books.

These are really neat but one of the statues needs to face the other way- it causes it to face the books and looks kind of weird. But either way, I love them on my shelf.

This was a birthday gift. When the gift was received, it was received with joyous elation! Lol she was so excited to put her bookshelves up! Five stars! By the way, they are very heavy!

These bookends are awesome! My husband is a HUGE LOTR fan and self proclaimed “nerd.” He loved them and they look great in his office.

Enough weight to hold the books up.

These are solid. I searched around for a set that was high quality and heavy enough for a bookshelf display, and though I wish the cost was slightly lower, I'm very happy. They were shipped in a form-cut thick foam box, so they arrived in perfect shape. The details are good, but lack depth of color (which I knew ahead of time - they are as pictured). But I spent an hour or two painting them with craft acrylic paints, and they turned out beautifully.

Would have imagined these to be a little bit heavier and that would’ve made them more effective as bookends, but that probably would’ve made them more expensive. The image is good though the color makes it look a little plastic like which it kind of is.
