Brightly Ever After Essence by Huxley for Unisex - 1.01 oz Essence

I was not sure if the Huxley Essence would do anything for my face when I first used it. But shortly after a week, I started to see improvement on my face. The age spots are less obvious and my skin is smoother. Will buy again.

This is the only hydrating serum that I have used that is not sticky. My face absorbs it pretty well. Also, I have oily skin but this has helped prevent alot of oiliness. It does actually help with my skin tone. I noticed a difference in about two to three weeks.

Okay, so I used to buy thisd direct from Korea, and the product I ordered from there was AMAZING. It smelled great, the texture was beautiful, and it really helped clear up my skin and brighten.The first time I ordered this product on Amazon, it was totally fine. The second time I ordered this product, the first thing I noticed was that the texture was completely different. The original product is a bit runny, but it works amazingly and has a consistently smooth texture that immediately absorbs into the skin. You can easily use the dropper.This product is gloppy, inconsistent, and you are not able to even use the dropper as a result. It looks like the liquid and the white cream parts separated. The fragrance is almost nonexistent. It also caused me to breakout. It did absorb quickly, though. I switched to using it under my eyes only and that was fine, but did cause breakouts there occasionally, too.I have a hard time believing this is the authentic product. I tried looking at it to catch the dupe, but couldn't honestly figure it out. Don't buy this product. There's clearly something wrong with this product. I'm so sad! The site I used to order this from no longer carries it. It is an amazing product when you get the real deal. Huxley is a great brand if you can find the real product... I'm just sad to report this is a dupe for sure even though, weirdly, the seller appears to be Huxley!! Unless they're storing it improperly at Amazon, I'm not sure how else this product would get to be like it is, which is completely different from what I used ot purchase direct from Korea.

I have extremely dry skin, so especially during times like this, I layer on a lot of essences, serums, and ampoules to compensate for the harsh weather. This is fantastic for layering. It isn't super thick, but packs a punch. Love the scent of this essence. Not overpowering and strong. I have combination, sensitive skin and am able to tolerate it. It did not make my skin breakout or turn red (some products with fragrance do). It’s also quite lightweight in texture and non-greasy. This essence glides on smoothly, three drops is enough for the whole face and neck. It makes my skin super smooth, and does not give me any irritation or redness.

Huxley, a Korean skincare brand, has a few hits and misses for me. This Huxley Secret of Sahara Essence, a slightly watery milky white essence, is a hit. I think just about anyone can use this and reap some benefits (hydration, moisture balance, reduction in inflammation, etc.).Please see included images for ingredients and additional product information. The formula's first ingredient is opuntia ficus-indica, not water. Opuntia ficus-indica, better known as the Prickly Pear, is a gentle ingredient that all skin types can use. It's especially ideal for acne-prone, dry, sensitive, or inflamed skin because of its soothing properties. The stem is a bountiful source of antioxidant compounds known as polyphenols, many of which are excellent at visibly reducing signs of sensitized skin.Along with being a great source of antioxidants, it also contains polyunsaturated fatty acids and amino acids, which deliver replenishing and hydrating benefits to the skin. The cactus also has vitamin C and magnesium.Opuntia ficus-indica stem extract is naturally non-fragrant. However, Huxley always adds fragrance, or has, to everything I've tried of theirs thus far. But this essence (more like a serum in a simple, slightly opaque 1oz glass dropper) has a far subtler scent. It has a mild floral whiff. Not cloying; it doesn't linger.The milky essence's texture is slightly watery and melts into the skin, leaving behind a matte, hydrating finish. I don't find it tacky, sticky, or greasy. It does have niacinamide and squalane, so I don't use my boosters with those ingredients as this essence/serum provides similar benefits. I use this after cleansing and toning, applying a few drops to my palms and gently patting it into my face and neck. Then I follow up with the rest of my serums, moisturizers, and SPF in the AM.It helps keep me balanced and hydrated and plays well with the rest of my skincare without pilling or flaking. For reference, I am over 40, with sensitive, fair, acne-prone, combination skin.For $20, it is an affordable, multipurpose serum. I will most certainly get this again.

This arrives in the nicest, fortified little box! And, when you remove the container from the box, you will find a little "safety strip" on the side of the bottle. This proves that this bottle has never been tampered with. Both of these elements (this box and the safety seal) keep the product and the consumer protected. I truly value that!First, you will notice the scent. It nearly reminds my of my grandmother's prized Irises. it is floral and feminine .. and very pretty.This emerges a milky hue. It is liquid that easily distributes over the face. Moreover, it dries down pretty well (even though I mostly where this during the day when I'm working from home).The overall result is a clarity and radiance that is surprising.I am truly fond of Huxley products. I have tried a mask, a serum, and now this essence. Each is very much a luxurious, effective product.Highly recommended!
