I'm going to use these webbing anchors to lash items under shelving in the cabin and/or cockpit locker so they will be out of sight; hence aesthetics are of no real concern. They should serve well since they are very heavily constructed, much stronger than needed for my application. 1/4" thick metal secures the webbing (almost 3/8" thick at the screw holes). They will accommodate 1" webbing. #6 flat head screws fit perfectly with a deep recess. Testing with a magnet evidenced slight magnetism, which is consistent with marine grade 316 stainless steel.I want to note that the finish is not polished to any meaningful extent. The surface feels smooth but in appearance is dull and looks slightly rough (pictured). The pictures in the listing made the finish look highly polished (the video representation was accurate) which might mislead some into believing these fittings have the mirror polish typical of stainless steel dodger and bimini top fittings, which is not the case. If aesthetics were a high priority I'd probably give these a 3 or even 2 star rating.I sometimes fabricate custom stainless steel parts for my boat and often bring them to a mirror polish, which is a lot of work starting with a rough surface. So, I can tell you the finish on these fittings would require a lot of work to bring them to a smooth mirror polish; they aren’t even close.However, for my purposes I believe these fittings will serve well.

First, I am using these as strap down points on my tri-fold hard top on my truck. I want to be able to leave the last section up for a taller item, and be able to keep it from flapping in the wind, or fold back just the last section, for which there is no way to keep it down at speed as designed from the factory. These pads and built solidly, and come with #6 stainless screws that fit well below the surface of the pad in a recess. The pads have a dull finish - looks like a tumbled finish - and not polished, so if you wanted polished, these are not for you. In my application, they are under the cover when not in use, so this doesn't matter - I was looking for a pad with a low profile, non-rusting, and strong, and these pads meet all my requirements at a good price.
