My parakeet can rest his little feet
My parakeet was scared of this perch when I put it in his cage, but after a week or two he was on it all the time. He chews the sides off for fun. It was worth it because he can rest his feet instead of grasping a bar the whole time.

Nice platform
We bought this foraging platform so our parakeets would be able to use it as a resting spot, a foraging item and a gathering place. They do use it as a place to land but have not yet discovered the potential of it as they're new to their cage environment, but I like the idea of them being able to peck at this and eventually use it as a play spot. It's solid and well made and I'm happy with it.

Good product, but watch out for the big, sharp screws!
This toy attaches to the bird case with two sharp screws that really seem like overkill to me. My parakeet has enjoyed tearing this thing apart. But she worked on one part until she exposed a screw with a very sharp point and deep grooves that gave me a superficial cut. I removed the screw, and left the rest of the toy hanging, and she's been working on that, so it's not a problem. But I will have to make sure to remove the toy if she manages to expose the other screw.

It lasted almost 5 days!
After the initial “holy crap what is that will it kill me” response from my scaredy-cat conure, he decided it was okay, and then proceeded to dismantle it one layer at a time until it was in tiny pieces on the bottom of the cage and he had a sliver left to stand on. I had to remove it on the 4th day because the end of one bolt started poking through the demolished cardboard.A shredded toy is a successful toy. I will have to buy these in bulk. Happy, busy bird. Messy floor. Win-win.

My birds love it!
It's very sturdy and my parakeets and cockatiel love chewing on it for hours. It also keeps their nails and beak trimmed.
