Strathwood Hayden All-Weather Wicker Bistro Chair

This chair is amazing!! I really like wicker furniture. Sometimes it is a little too traditional for me with the white or the ruffled cushions, etc., but I like the curve of it. I used to have wicker chairs on my porch, but the sun and time were not kind to them. I often found little "sticks" on the ground and here and there you would get poked. :( So I switched to "wicker-look" which was plastic woven like wicker. It looked very nice, even if it didn't really fool anyone. Unfortunately with that, it was IMPOSSIBLE to clean. Each little string was reeded, so dirt stuck in everywhere. And it always reminded me of woven zip ties. :) Plus, after about 4 years, the plastic started breaking too. I suppose the sun made it brittle and in many places it would just crack.This is real wicker WITH the added benefit of being coated. It is smoooooooth. I actually thought they sent me something plastic when I opened it, but it is real. Lovely grain to each reed...but stained/coated a dark gray/brown. And the style is modern! thank you!! I just love it. I have it in my living room right now because I don't want to put it on the porch since I like it so much!!! My porch gets strong afternoon sun, but very little indirect moisture (only when it really blows.) I realize it IS a natural product and even with the coating, it may not hold up. My only worry is that in areas where it gets a lot of wear (such as the end of the armrests) can I re-coat or restain it to protect it. I suppose I will cross that bridge when I come to it. For now though, it is my very favorite porch chair I have ever had. So designer-looking...without the sky-high price. I think I am getting the whole set (I do wish there was a loveseat size in the Hayden.)update: I did get my first chair from the vine program, but liked it so much I bought another one and the table to match. They should really sell these in a set of 3 with a little discount! I have a smaller porch and big furniture doesn't look right there. This is perfect. I do wish the cushion were a little thicker and not so gray...the chair is brownish gray, so it would be nicer if this was a mottled gray and brown color like the "wicker" or even just a texture. It is pretty, but it is going to show every mark since it is so solid of a color. I like the round reeds with this Hayden line, the other Strathwood stuff looks like it is made from more flat reeds. So, now that I want a loveseat, too...there is none. There is a sofa, but it isn't in the "Hayden" pattern to match. The  Griffen  one looks like it has flatter reeds and the style is square-er. I know it is nit-picky, but I would like them to match! I hope the expand the line next year!!!!

These are great chairs, we absolutely love them. The color is like a grey-ish brown distressed and fits great with our french farming table. Chairs are firms and solid. I don't understand the comments that they are not suited for taller people, I am 6'3' and find them very comfortable. Looks absolutely gorgeous and doesn't have that glossy brown "fake" color as you find with many other products.The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that the shipping boxes are flimsy, 2 chairs arrived damaged and had to request for a replacement.

Bought two of these for my deck, which is gray.. The color is listed as gray, but they are more brown then gray. They actually blend, even though the color is darker then I hoped. The biggest problem is that one of the chairs doesn't sit level on the deck floor, so I had to put something underneath to prevent wobbling. The chairs are comfortable to sit on with or without the cushions.

Oh my God! These are adorable! I was on my third attempt to get some decorative wicker to accent my patio with. Our Brown and Jordan is a faded brown color. I would have LOVED to get a new set, but there was nothing wrong with the set we had. It was just faded. So, I thought if I got a "faded" looking set of chairs, it would tie together nicely. I had bought a set from Target. Took it back. Bought a set from Overstock. Took it back. Bought a set from World Market (which I loved, but they were too small) Took it back. Then I saw these.I was afraid they would be too small, from a few of the reviews I read. But, these were perfect! I felt like Goldilocks trying so many chairs! But, once I opened the boxes they came in, It was love at first sight. They are so darn perfect it kills me! They make all my outdoor furniture look like the faded brown color was done on purpose! They are SO comfortable. If they are too small for a large man...let him sit somewhere else! When I find the couch that was also made with this finish and style, I am getting that too! I am pretty picky. I can't imagine anyone not loving these chairs! I can't believe I just spent 10 minutes writing this review! I need to get a life.

Sturdy chair, well made. The color has more gray than the picture shows. I have a lot of Restoration Hardware all weather wicker and this is actually sturdier than my RH stuff. A tad more of a plastic look than the RH but not so bad that I won't put it on the deck with my RH.

Love these chairs. Super comfortable too. However, these chairs are most definitely more on the gray side. Even the cushions are a charcoal gray. Looks brown in the pics, but mine are not brown at all. But, that doesn't bother me, in fact I was hoping they would be more on the gray side. Great price on these chairs too. However, one of the chairs was a little wobbly. I called amazon and Allison with customer service sent out a new chair, which arrived the very next day and a ups driver came to pick up the defective chair. All that at no cost to me. Excellent customer service!

I was looking for a slightly less expensive wicker outdoor chair than offered at other major home stores. This one fit the bill. It's a bit shorter than we expected so make sure to measure your table height before purchasing this chair for dining purposes.

When I opened the box, I loved this beautiful and comfortable chair almost as much as I appreciated not needing to assemble it. As others have mentioned, it is not as dark as it looks in the images provided, but its weathered grayish brown appearance makes it look like genuine wicker far more than Suncast's dark brown but fake looking resin wicker seating containers. It also looks nice and complements those darker pieces that were purchased to store belongings.The only thing wrong with this most expensive of all the items I bought for my condo patio is the cushion has a seam in the front instead of the back where it wouldn't be seen and for that thoughtless detail it deserves a 4.5 rating but is too nice to give it four stars and while I wish it were perfect, it is clearly worth what I paid for it.
