Doesn't crimp AWG terminals tight enough
Crimper is nicely built. Rewiring a battery charger on boat. Crimper is built for metric terminals and they tell you which setting to use for AWG terminals. Problem is it doesn't crimp AWG 2 and 6 tight. Using the recommended die setting you can twist and pull off the terminal after crimping. If you use the next smaller die it over crushes the terminal. I ended up using the recommended die for the first crimp then went to the next smaller die and crimped at about 80-90%. Worked well using two steps.

Crimper or Lug Fault? See below
The sheers cut the wires with ease and cleanliness. I am not sure to put the battery lug to blame or the crimper. My 4ga wire when using the 4ga lug slide in and out just fine. Using the crimper i was able to separate the two resulting in 4 bag connections. I had the crimper set to 4ga. I set it to 6GA and it crimp it much tighter but also deformed the lug even more to do so. I switch to 6ga and the wire and lugs were tighter fit and when crimping did a much better job.

Life saver
These are much more expensive in Home Depot and Lowes -- if you can find them at all. I used Renogy lithium batteries in my camper van's electrical and solar system, and the size of their posts are larger than any that I have every seen, so I had to buy the large rings and make my own lugs. I am so grateful that I found this on Amazon. I was able to finish off my new system (by the way, I removed my entire EcoTrek system -- if you know what that is). Good buy. They work!

I expected better quality...
The cutters work well. The crimper worked well for about 6 - 8 crimps. However the pins and the over alignment of the clamp design began to slowly lose form. Soon the center pin and mold for the crimp would fall out periodically. It took a couple months before I realized it was useless... I would crimp 1/0 terminals and then later did 2/0 but started melting solder in the closed terminals...and since the crimper broke down I kept to the solder of all my welding cable using a torch going forward.

Works great but takes a little longer to use.
I bought this combo to make a more professional crimp on battery cables than my hammer crimper. It worked good but only with rotating the ferrule that I was crimping a couple of times while it was crimping it. Otherwise it wouldn't have a perfect looking crimp and would develop wings. With rotating it would turn out perfect and with the money I saved I can't complain. The cutters were also extremely sharp and I had no issues with them.

Works exacctly as advertised.
I am installing a 12 battery off grid solar system and needed a way to build custom cables. In my case I determined I needed 1/0 wire. First I purchased a hydraulic system which, worked very well, but was clumsy to use. Then, after reading a few reviews, I decided to purchase this product. Both this and the hydraulic system work great. However, this one is much easier to use and is good for up to 1/0 wire. If you are going to use larger wire you will need to order the hydraulic system.

Solid crimping tool but had an issue with the sizing
I had the same issue as Carol R. down below. I was crimping 2 gauge wire and the chart says to use the 35mm die. I was able to pull off the terminal using the 35mm die. So I adopted the same 2 step process, first the 35mm and then the 25mm. This slightly pinched and raised a portion on the terminal but was able to grind it off using a dremel. Just a few extra steps, but got the job done though.

Crimp handle a little short. But would recommend.
The sheer is very sharp and cuts with almost no resistance. The crimping tool handle is a little too short. I find myself having to lean one handle against the floor or wall and push the other one in to crimp with maximum leverage. The final crimp appears with a sharp point on one side. All in all it does the job well.
