If you are like me and your waist size changes or you are not the exact 38 or 36 inch waist then these ratchet belts are perfect for you. Several people have given low reviews of this buckle because they do not understand what a ratchet belt is and have got the buckle and tried to fix it to a normal belt strap. These do not work like that and it is explained in the product description that you need a RATCHET belt strap for the buckle to work. I have several ratchet belts I much prefer them to normal buckles they are easy to make fine adjustments on them rather than being stuck with a buckle hole every 3cms. A ratchet belt buckle works perfectly with a ratchet belt strap you can adjust the total length of the strap by cutting it down in size if needed. Once you have the approximate size you just attach the buckle to the ratchet belt strap and the locking mechanism will hold the buckle in place at the length you require. The strap has a series of notches that the ratchet on the buckle which is spring loaded fits into to hold the position of the belt buckle at the desired length. at the bottom of the buckle is a quick release lever that you push to release the ratchet allowing you to remove the belt. This buckle works perfect with my belt straps of this size and I love the fact not only will it always be the right size but I can change the look of the belt by just changing the buckle and there are numerous buckles to cheeses from. I highly recommend this buckle. Ignore the low star comments from people who have no idea what a ratchet belt is this one works perfectly and looks very smart. 5 * all the way

I love these ratchet belts; I have three.This is a replacement buckle only - there is no belt supplied, the one you see in the pictures was one I already own.Like most of these, the buckle is quite chunky - that's a side effect of the ratchet mechanism. I like the look of the buckle; it's quite smart although that's obviously down to personal taste. Hopefully the photos will allow you to make your own judgement on that. This buckle fitted on to one of my existing ratchet belts with no problem. I struggled a bit to engage the teeth of the clasp, but got there in the end. However, in use I found the ratchet didn't engage very well. The magnet wasn't quite strong enough to pull the ratchet all the way to engage in the teeth on the belt. Sometimes it worked and sometimes not. So I took a pair of pliers to the ratchet arm and managed to bend it round a little more, closer to the belt that it engages with. That seemed to fix it. However, there's still a little play in the mechanism which is disappointing and it still doesn't feel as firm as the other buckles I have. Perhaps another go with the pliers will fix that?! So an easy problem to fix but then I shouldn't really have to!So all in all, a good looking belt buckle but ensure the one you get works properly!

This a decent quality cast buckle . Usually the cheap ones are very rough and course but this is super smooth and polished. It looks really nice and with its oval shape it isn’t too big or too small so I believe IT would be suitable for any gender and not look out of place. The font style used is super cool and the colour makes it stand out, it’s like an ivory colour. Very happy and sure you will be too

This is a replacement belt buckle (no belt supplied). Can be used with any belt via the ratchet system.Decent looking belt, chunky but still stylish. Will add a bit of style onto an otherwise morning belt.Easy connection and fastening, well made and sturdy. Fairly priced for the quality and look. Just need to see how long it lasts now.

The media could not be loaded. The look and feel of this buckle shows it is a quality item. It bears the name Demon and Hunter, which shows it has pedigree. It is quite weighty and fitting a belt into it is fairly straightforward, even though there were no instructions included with it.I have two buckle-less belts, one leather and one made with a corded rope type material.They both looked good with the buckle, but wearing it was a different matter. I couldn’t get the buckle to grip on either of them. I tried every which way round and it seemed like the ratchet system wasn’t doing its job and holding the belt in place. I tried using the ratchet lever on the back edge and that didn’t work either.I have deducted one star for this reason as, unfortunately, I cannot use it as a belt

I received this and was quite excited to try it out because it looked so nice!I can confirm it's well made, good materials. Very nice to look and and it's quite heavy! It feels like a quality item. It has a nice black and silver design, smart and would go with a number of different trousers for different occasions. The Demon and Hunter logo looks classy as well.I tried it with a number of belts I have Canvas material ones for casual use for example. The teeth on one side bite securely into the material of the belt and the belt fits through the buckle but it is very hard to get the ratchet system on it to "bite". It keeps coming loose and I don't have another way of getting it to grip. A real shame to be honest as it's such a nice item. Would be great if it was more reliably secured.

The media could not be loaded. The buckle looks very nice and feels very solid. It comes with a very sophisticated mechanism requiring a separate manual to operate, which is missing. However, the buckle's clamp, which is for holding a belt's end in place, is way too wide. It is around 3 mm, while all of the woven and leather belts I have are about 2 mm thick. And so the belt simply does not hold where it should, which renders the whole item unusable. For this reason, I would not be able to recommend it.

Par chance, j'en ai eu une à tester également avec le même type de ceinturon, donc aucuns soucis pour moi. Par contre, il faut bien se rendre compte que cette boucle n'est compatible qu'avec les ceintures du type sans trous mais avec des crans à l'arrière.Totalement compatible une fois le système visualisé, aucuns soucis, ça fonctionne comme le ceinturon d'origine et c'est un peu plus classe que le ceinturon brun d'origine.Je valide fortement ce système car il permet d'avoir une ceinture toujours bien en place et parfaitement adaptée. N'hésitez pas si vous avez ce type de ceinture, un excellent rapport qualité/prix !

Auch das geht schneller und eleganter als das alte Loch/Dorn-System, weil man nicht mehr am Gürtel erst noch enger ziehen muss, um ihn zu lösen. Ein Klick und der Gürtel löst sich.Wie lange diese Plastikraspel wirklich hält, muss man abwarten und ist sicher davon abhängig wie stark der Gürtel auch angezogen wird. Ich trage ihn nun seit 2-3 Monaten und sehe keine der sonst typischen Abnutzungen der Standardgürtel mit Dorn, insbesondere die Knickspuren beim Anzug.Und auch dieses Jahr irgendwann wieder Weihnachten und Nikolaus und Wichteln ist … So ein Business-Gürtel kommt zB in einer 14 x 14 x 5.5 cm schwarzen Box/Schachtel aus zwei Teilen, ist komplett eingeschweißt, mit Goldemblem on top. Innen ist die Box mit einem goldfarbenen Stoff sehr sehr wertig ausgeschlagen und präsentiert den Gürtel, der ebenfalls in Seidenpapier gewickelt und seine Schnalle in PVC verpackt, damit keine Kratzer oder Verletzungen des Kunstleders beim Transport vorkommen können. NEIN, so war es einmal! Jetzt wurde das Goldemblem eingespart, das Seidenpapier auch und der goldfarbene Stoff ebenso. Entweder ist das ein Raubkopierer oder es wurden Kosten gespart. Allerdings – Schall und Rauch – das ist ja nur die Verpackung – am Ende trage ich ja den Gürtel – und die Box ist weiterhin schön stabil, so dass man den Gürtel wieder aufrollen und in der Box verstauen kann – da würde das Seidenpapier eh nur stören und auch die Stoffauslage immer wieder aufzuschlagen – Firlefanz – ist halt schön beim Geschenk und dem ersten Blick ins die Box.Am Ende braucht es keine drei, gar vier- und den Amazon-Karton noch mitgezählt sogar fünffache Verpackung für ein Produkt wie einen Herrengürtel. Nachhaltig wäre ganz ohne Box, und genau so wird die einzelne Schnalle versandt, aber ich gebe zu, die will ich schon wegen der Staumöglichkeit dann doch behalten und mehrere Gürtel im Schrank in der Ecke hinten einfach aufstapeln können.Eindeutig gutes Geschenk – einen Gürtel kann man immer brauchen und eine zweite Schnalle zum Wechseln oder wenn der originale Schnaller verschunden ist. Wie lange er durchhält … muss man abwarten. Echt-Leder wäre um einiges teurer und der Schneider hätte vermutlich dann auch das Problem die Kunststoff-Raspeltreppe nicht optimal anbringen zu können, weil hier das Gürtelmaterial ja umgebördelt wurde und die Raspel quasi in den Gürtel integriert wurde.ANMERKUNG: Ich hab das Teil gerade vorgeführt und meine Zuschauer hatten den Eindruck, dass der Verschleiß bei dieser Verschlussart geringer sein müsse, weil man ja das Gürtelende nicht knickt und daran zieht, wenn man den normalen Standardgürtel wieder vom Dorn lösen „tut“. Das ist voll korrekt. Auch wird der Gürtel im Bereich der Schnalle wenig abgeschrappt. Da sind normale Schnallen mit Dorn echte Materialkiller dagagen.Stimmt – ich habe nun schon einen, den trage ich seit drei Monaten etwa täglich und er sieht noch richtig gut und hochwertig aus. Und die neue Schnalle, die kommt nun da rein …Kleiner Hinweis: Das gezahnte Krokodilmaul in der Gürtelschnalle, das auf 12-14mm Breite in den Kunstledergürtel beißt, das fasert mir regelmäßig aus, so dass der Gürtel nach und nach kürzer wird, weil ich wieder einen Zentimeter wegschneiden muss, damit die Zähne im neuen Material wieder halt finden. Ich hab mich jetzt mit einer kleinen DiY-Arbeit mit einem Stück Leder in ca 1 Quadratzentimeter Größe genommen, das ausgefranste Material passend ausgeschnitten (Skalpel + Schere) und dann dieses Leder dort verklebt – ERFOLG!
