Nice hat, did what it was supposed to do. Easily shaped after being packed in either suitcase or rucksack. Drawstring was invaluable when out on power boats as I managed not to lose the hat. Would definitely recommend

Felt like Indy during my trip to Petra wearing this hat. Great sun protection and doesn't make your head sweat buckets either. In wadi rum and aqaba the temperature was 40 C and baking hot sun - though with this over your head it became bearable.

If your millinery expectations are quite ordinary and you have cranial dimensions near to the mean, this should do a fine job of solar protection.

I liked the solid fabric, the good size brim.Its snug on my head, I measured my head its 58cm. if I had thick hair or lots of hair it wouldn't fit. As it happens I have really short hair so it wasn't an issue. It is snug and that makes it a bit warmer in the blazing sun. Its also is heavy material so its a bit warm. BUT no warmer than my baseball cap in similar heat.It didn't stop me wearing it and it keeps the sun off really well.Its not as cool as a straw hat. But ten times more tough which suits me.It will be fine too for autumn and early english winter.if i was to buy again i'd go for a slightly bigger size as i think it would be cooler.

Trying to replace a hat which sadly came to the end of its life. Yes it is nice
