Just purchased two tumblers after owning the oak wine bottle for almost two years ago off kickstarter. The wine bottle has made some wine I would consider undrinckable into something I can enjoy. I have also used the bottle on whisky and many other drinks and these Tumblers are a perfect way to serve up my creations to friends and family. Can't wait to enjoy these tumblers for years to come. And please read the instructions. Yes they will leak slightly if you don't first fill them with water for a bit and let them swell up just like a Wine or wisky barrel they must be wet before they are filled. So yes there is a litle prep work but thats half the fun.

This was a birthday present for my bourbon-obsessed brother, and he absolutely loved it. He (and I) tried it with a cheap bourbon the day he got it, and even after 20m I could taste improvement in the taste.I considered the oak bottle also sold by the same company, but the tumbler was a better option for the price. It also is more visually appealing than the bottle.All in all, I think it's a perfect gift for anyone who enjoys whiskey or beer or even wine, all of which can be aged in the tumbler.

A whole different drinking experienceI purchased this tumbler simply because I loved how it looked and I initially thought it was a little pricey for a tumbler. It wasn’t until I used it that I realized it actually enhances the flavor of the whiskey. You can literally taste the oak flavor and the aroma enhances the taste as well. While I thought it was just a really nice tumbler, it turned out to be an entirely different drinking experience.

I’ve used the tumbler several times with an 8-yr old blended scotch and there is a perceptual change in flavor that I like. Not sure it’s worth $50 but will probably think so if I get several years of good service from the tumbler. btw... the oak bottle does a good job with my every day cabernet sauvignon. But it holds only about a half-bottle of wine. I’d go for one a little over 750 ml even if it needs more time to work.
