The pictures display it as an actual ASUS brand charger.It is not.

Important note: the OEM Asus charger that came with my laptop was great and didn't die on its own. My teething puppy got her paws on it and I've had to replace my charger 3-4 times per year since then. I've always just bought different off-brand aftermarket chargers with 4.6+ star reviews, and every single one has been a disappointment. They were plagued with short lifespans and jacks that never fit quite right. This, however, seems to be an actual Asus charger. If the branded brick wasn't evidence enough, the quality is. The cord doesn't feel cheap and flimsy and the jack fits like a glove (and actually STAYS IN!). Excellent price too. I don't often write reviews but I'm over the moon!

This adapter's specifications match the one that came with my ASUS X712 laptop, and the laptop charges normally when I use this adapter. Oddly, it came with stickers covering the ASUS logo. The cord is flexible and the transformer block doesn't get hot when in use. Good adapter!

Update: I'm reducing my rating from five stars because I noticed problems with my laptop related to this power supply. My trackpad started getting jumpy, to the point where it was difficult to use with the pointer jumping far from where it should have been. After some googling, I found someone report that they discovered a connection between that and low-quality aftermarket chargers. I looked down and realized I was plugged into this charger, so I unplugged it and immediately regained precision control with my trackpad. Plugged it back in and the jitters came back. It doesn't seem to happen while the battery has a low charge, so I cycled between charging and discharging for a while until now it's stuck at 98% and charging continually. Queue the "*chuckle* I'm in danger" meme... So I can't recommend this charger any more, but it does function as a charger and might work better for other people than it does for me.Here is my original review:The product photos look like they have the name brand logo photoshopped onto the adapter, with a product label on the narrow side that looks nothing like OEM. What I received, surprisingly, appears to be OEM. It had labels covering the brand name, but I cannot distinguish it from the OEM one I already had. I like how small it is, but it is slightly larger than the one I already have. The cable is also thicker, which is not a bad thing! I like how sturdy it feels. I got this so I would have one I can keep in my laptop and one I can route through cable management straps and such on my desk. This will make things so much easier for me, but I was also worried about my only charger being coiled up and uncoiled repeatedly.
