When I bought this reel it was only 15 bucks. The crank is super smooth and turns like glass. One of the smoothest and crispiest. The bail wire is not the thinnest I have seen but not that heavy duty either. Somewhere in between. The bail is pretty sharp and crisp. A lot crisper than others but maybe not as crisp as say, a Lew's reel. The rubber knurling is great to keep your line in place on the reel and is perfect for braided line. This reel also has ZERO reverse. I mean this little baby is just as good if not better with the anti reverse as a Shimano or a Lew's. I also love the line guard on the reel. keeps your line up on the reel always and makes for easier use for people newer to spinning reels. I went to a sportsmans warehouse with this reel and compared literally every reel they had available to test ( a whole crap load of them) and I can honestly tell you that , compared side by side, this reel performed better and handled better than some 2 and 300 dollar reels. I would buy one of these over a cheap or even middle- high shimano reel. I would buy this over any Daiwa I tested. PERIOD. I am completely and utterly impressed. This reel is great for beginners, and pros alike. Amazing reel, amazing price.

Let me start by saying I own two other plusinno reels the BE series and I can’t complain much about them so I figured I’d try out the GE “Gold” series of reels from plusinno and see what they offered.Let’s get to the nitty gritty the BE and GE series reels from Plusinno are very similar in build/quality the only real difference I see is within the spool cosmetic design and bailwire assembly design is a tad different and obviously the GE is a bit more flashy other than that they are pretty similar. Every time I get a reel I break it down doesn’t matter if it’s $20 or a $200 reel or New or old reel, I like to see what’s what and add my own grease and lube. These reels from plusinno have pretty darn good internals they remind me a lot of Lews spinning reels which I have a few of those aswell in the higher end and as we know the majority of reels are produced in China and a lot in the same factories. The only thing you aren’t getting in these is an aluminum body (composites have came along way anyhow) and ceramic and or sealed bearings. I can tell you this these reels internals are better than the Max series line from Abu and easier on the wallet at the same time. Plusinno has done a fine job with the GE even though I’m more of a subtle look kinda guy it’s still a good looking smooth reel I could throw out with all day. I have yet to fish it but I have my others and haven’t had a single issue they have been pretty reliable I’ll continue to support and lead people on to their products if they continue to keep up the good work.I’ll update it when I fish it which hopefully will be soon.... buying/moving into a new home takes quite awhile before I’ll be able to go relax and enjoy wetting a line. In the mean time I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another reel from Plusinno, I think the average blue collar guy/gal could do a lot worse.Update is the reel works and works well. I have yet to do any largemouth fishing with it due to weather but it has done well in the river and I continue to keep these on my rods for a reason right beside my higher end spinning reels.

This medium sized reel has a nice color scheme, can be used left or right handed, and has a reverse reel switch. It sports 9+1 bearings so it has a really smooth retrieve. One irritation is there is no information on the line limitation for braid although it states it is designed for braided line. At this price it's a great reel for entry level or occasional anglers. The 5.7:1 gear ratio may be a drawback for some as it can limit what baits you use or structure you might fish. But, it's not a deal breaker. This reel also uses a rubber type material on the base of the spool making loading new line or line slip later no problem any longer. My cons are a bit picky but I'm speaking completely for myself and the type of reels I prefer. I still recommend this reel to anyone.Pros- Price point- Bearings- Rubber material at the base of the spool instead of bare metal.Cons- Somewhat slow retrieval speed.- Heavy for its size, 9.4 oz.

Overall, the reel is very sleek. It rotates cleanly and spreads the line evenly on the reel (something I’ve had problems with on many other reels). The reel itself can hold up to 10lb line so it will be good for most of your fishing needs!Another thing that I really like about the design is that you are able to switch between which side you want the handle to be on. Most rods come preequipped with right handed knobs but I prefer to reel with my left hand and hold the rod with my right. It is a small detail but I think any fisherman who is just beginning to test the waters will greatly appreciate that option.This product also comes with a velvet carrying bag which is kind of nice. Most people typically just keep their reels on their rods for the entirety of their life time; however, the bag offers you a chance to either store this reel or a reel you may be taking off one of your other rods so that it won’t be subject to any weather damages it may go through otherwise.Overall, I really don’t have anything negative to say about this product. After testing it out and giving it a try, it definitely feels well crafted and is better than most of the reels I already have. I highly recommend this product to anyone who’s looking for an inexpensive yet effective piece of fishing equipment!!
