Appears to be PPD/PTD free/safe, works very well! Best temp dye out there!
I wanted to wait until I used the product 3 times before I provided a fair review. This product is revolutionary for me. I've had a severe PPD/PTD hair dye allergy for over ten years now, and cannot use 100% of permanent hair dyes. Even temp dyes professing to not contain the two ingredients generally create a reaction for me after a few months. I have been using Cosamo and Jazzing for the last few years, which are the only two I don't react too. However, they at best, last a week with 2-3 washes, and then turn light brown/orange very quickly, and it's NOT pretty since my natural hair color is black. I end up having to wear a baseball cap the second week to cover up the embarrassment anytime I leave the house (I live in hot Hawaii, so this passes as normalish). ;-) However, this dye is the FIRST truly great temp hair dye I've found in over ten years of trying over a dozen products that can make my hair black and/or dark drown. No temp dye worldwide (and yes, I've bought from many different countries) has ever achieved that. It fades, of course, but lasts closer to two solid weeks, and perhaps 5-7 washes. I cannot recommend this product highly enough- it does have a strong odor, and is misleading in saying it takes ten minutes (it takes closer to 45 to do it right, as there are two applications that each take 10-15 min to sit, and then 10-15 min each to apply), and it's possible I could react over some time, but at this point, I would say I'm fully enamored and it works better than any other temp product out there.

Turned my hair black not brown
I wanted to try a semi-permanent (thank goodness) hair dye at home to decrease chemical exposure and save time.Good: no red eyes, no itchy scalp though still a little burningBad: didn’t cover my grey well at all (I just did instructions of 10 min cream #1 then 10 min cream #2). I found this incredibly drying for my hair - curly and finer than your average.Unfortunate: my hair (both previously dyed and not) turned black (just not my bright sparkley greys) with purple undertones. I finished up let my hair dry and basically was all “hello, Elvis, you sly dog”Here’s hoping the 3 week time frame for fade out is accurate. Also for curly girls the instructions say with prolonged use you could loose or loosen your curls. Not so sure that wouldn’t happen with any hair dye but this one mentioned it specifically. This was an experiment gone awry.

The only hair color that doesn't gives me an allergic reaction
Purchased it about six times now. Needed to be sure of its effects on long-term usage. Here’s my personal experience (I paid full price every time, nobody ever paid me to write about it, and I am not a professional reviewer). My goal: to avoid getting a serious rash and bubble on my skin and scalp. My result: goal accomplished.Other observations I made based on what other reviewers said as opposed to my personal experience:1) Does it stink? It doesn’t ‘reek’ but it ain’t a stroll in a rose garden either; it’s more like an ‘unpleasant smell’. It doesn’t have the most attractive of the scents but I don’t mind because my hair regimen allows me to “mask” it. Also, I noticed that the manufacturer has worked on improving product’s scent – it has improved since I bought it for the first time. It is less smelly. One more thing: the unpleasant smell is mostly noticeable when the hair is wet. I say: it’s doable for me because my goal is not needing to get medically treated for my serious contact dermatitis condition.2) Does the color last a long time? No, it doesn’t, because it’s a semi-permanent hair color. As far as I know, there is no permanent hair color that is free of PPD/Ammonia/carcinogens in existence at the moment. Again, I don’t mind because my goal is not to get a bad allergic reaction.3) Does is come with English instructions? Yes, it does (at least from this provider). It comes with 2 sets of instructions: the one is English is the smaller piece of paper.4) Does turn your hair blue? It has a somewhat bluish/purple tinge to it, true, but it’s mostly temporarily after you apply it. Also, I noticed that that bluish/purple hue is mostly where I have more grey hair; my dark brown/black hair does not show it in a noticeable way.5) Does it relax your curls? Unfortunately, it does. My natural curls are pretty much gone, after several uses. And this is what I dislike the most about this product. I have been using it more sporadically to try to avoid this “side effect”. If I could keep my curls, I’d give this product 5 stars, hence the 4 starts rating.Hey, you, manufacturer, if you are reading this, can you please work on trying to remove whatever ingredient that is relaxing the curls but still keep it allergy-free? It's a dare.

GREAT If you have allergies to hair dye
I have severe allergic reactions to hair dye. Even the ones that say they are hypoallergenic. So I cannot use almost every other brand. But this one was GREAT!I have a beard, and want to cover some gray in both my hair and my beard. This product was quite amazing with its results. It colored my hair a perfect auburn brown color...although it "looked" ALOT darker as it cured on my hair and face. I did a test run only using it a few minutes...and it did not color my beard enough. So I used it the full 10 minutes as suggested for each tube and it was perfectly brown when done. This product will "look" alot more black (almost a purple black) as it cures... so don't let that fool you. If you use it the 10 minutes like suggested, it washes off a rich "brown" color. It washes off the skin very easily as well. even if you get some on your skin, it cleans off nicely. (unlike most hair dyes i have used). I am going to keep this on hand and will certainly purchase it again. I haven't yet determined how long it lasts yet.. but will update later once i realize that part. This was a great alternative to the other dyes that have the harmful chemical. I'm glad I found it.
