Well written with endearing characters
A great and engaging read with a good mix of character development, suspense, and action with some sass thrown in.

Cass Raines on the Trail
What I enjoy about Tracy Clark's books are several things. First, I always enjoy reading a book where the location is Chicago. Second, her secondary characters are interesting and I hope she includes them in future books. I think for me this is a strength of the books. Next, the mysteries so far have been interesting and different. In other words, a good read. Humor pops up occasionally which is appreciated. One of the worse nightmares of a criminal would be if P.I. Cass Raines was on his/her trail. They wouldn't know it at first but would soon find out. She doesn't give up even if it puts her life in danger.I enjoyed the diner scenes with Deem and his waitress Mauna. Cass takes a case, against her wishes, from Jung who is a food deliverer for Deem. He is more than that but that is how Cass knows him. He is convinced a friend with a terminal disease has been murdered. The police have called it an accident. The wealthy family of the deceased has put pressure on the police to rule it an accident rather than suicide. Jung says it was murder. Cass is now on the trail.

I love Cass
A lot of character growth this novel. Fun dialog. Love the other characters in the book, her friends...Cass is still obsessive and stubborn and selfish, but me too.But also, a few logic points that don't sit with me. Which is why it loses a star for me.The box at the office...I sure didn't see that coming. Novel was fun, action packed, and the budding romance is cute. I can't wait for date 3, though, knowing Cass, she'll get 6 more concussions before we get there.

Borrowed Time
Good book. Interesting plot. The characters work together and solve the murders. Of course, Cass is the leader and figures out the how, when where and what. Very good book.

Great Series!
I love this series! Cassie Raines is a powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with. You never know what she’s going to next. An ex-cop turned private eye, the police attitude & the hunchs has never left her. Great attitude and characters you’ll love this series

Cass Raines, wow 😊😊
Cass Raines in a dynamic PI and is a pit bull with a bone. She will not give up or give in. Loved her stories. This one had so many parts and players, e.g., Jung (nut case) but it all came together in the end. This company (Spata) bought insurance policies from terminally ill people and then killed them if they did not die in a certain about of time. Lots of twists and turns in this plot. Loved it.

Not sure.
Nothing like as good as the other books I’ve read because the action is just a stretch too far unbelievable even for a fiction novel. Needs to step back a little for me.
