I started using these as a quick and easy test for the hospital tank I set up. It comes back 0 when it makes sense. It also tested higher values which made sense as well:1) anemone looked like it was going to die in my display tank, I put it in my hospital tank before leaving for the weekend. Sadly it died. I tested the water when I got home and it was maxed out on the chart for ammonia (makes perfect sense for dead nem)2) I had a firefish die in the QT tank - must have been overnight. For a much smaller fish, having died recently, it reading around a .5 was probably reasonable and showed it could detect some mid range results as wellI wish they were cheaper but they seem to be a fairly worthwhile rapid test. I’m ordering another set now

Really wish I would’ve paid attention to the negative reviews. These don’t work at all. I have 3 tanks, 2 of them I already knew had ammonia problems. I tried several strips in each and none of them changed color. Total waste.

Nothing special, they work. Be careful on how much you use because you only have 25 of them which can go by FAST.

These are a must have. My water parameters have been on point since I purchased. Very happy customer.

You need to be aware you are going to always get a reading due to the 2 different types of Ammonia. Not both are harmful.
