Milk Thistle / Dandelion Liver Detox Extract for BIRDs - 2oz

My budgie was recently diagnosed with having fatty liver disease. She was a very active bird prior to her illness and had since become very lethargic and inactive, sleeping most of the day. It was recommended I give her milk thistle making sure it was without alcohol as an ingredient.I was so happy to find an alcohol free milk thistle extract that is specifically for birds. After only a few days I noticed a huge improvement in my budgie. By week one she was back to being active and only sleeping small portions during the day. It has now been two weeks and I feel like she is almost back to her 100% self.For the first week I administered the milk thistle by mouth and am now putting it in her water with the same results. I am so happy to have found this product and will order it again when it runs out.

This product helped with the problem.

My bird got dizzy almost immediately.Do not buy this without talking to a vet.Afterward mine said she'd never heard of this company. That's not bad, just be sure your giving your bird what they need and not just hopping for the best.

Not sure if it has any benefit except a physological one.

I am really impressed with this stuff. Lately, she had been slowing down and taking naps every day. Two days after starting the milk thistle with dandelion extract, my 18 year old Quaker parrot was back to her old self. She had more energy and was busy weaving and taking care of her cage. It was amazing to see. And because she likes the taste, she willingly takes it from the dropper. I will take her back to the vet in a few weeks to check her liver function again, but I fully expect to see an improvement. This product works for me and my bird.

Give to my parakeets for liver support as too many seeds can apparently give them fatty livers and they have been on a mostly seed diet for several years. So now they are on a pellet diet all day with seeds available only after 5 pm. Anyhow, each parakeet receives at least 1 drop 1x per day and though I can't really tell, I believe these drops do as they should.

My lovebird has a fat liver and Xanthomas and i bought this product after searching for options and reading positive stories about milk thistle and dandelion. I received this product with a handwritten personal note hoping that my bird feels better soon. Treating my conures Bogie & Bacall with it for liver detox. Really really helps keep contaminates out of their bodies. Also using Zero filtered water. No more out of control beak growth and they feel frisky and playful again. Vet likes the NO alcohol.
