Cool toy gun with some real mechanics
This gun is cool because it's a semi-auto firing toy that operates without needing batteries, and you don't have to manually cock it after each shot. It's about the same size as a real pistol, and it ejects shells after each shot. It's a really cool idea they had for how it works with the propulsion coming from the bullets (just like a real gun). It's not accurate at all, but it is fun to shoot.

Good Lessons, Great Fun
My son and I have enjoyed using this toy gun for realistic target practice and firearm lessons. It’s not perfect and occasionally does misfire (eject shell with the small plastic bullet still inside instead of firing the bullet), however it still gives opportunities to practice muzzle discipline, trigger discipline, magazine loading etc. etc.Be aware the little orange bullets are quite small if you are practicing indoors and have small children or pets around. We’ve had a lot of fun with this toy gun and it is realistic enough to help demonstrate firearm lessons. Again, it does occasionally malfunction but all-in-all we have had lots of fun with it, we’ve hit many targets, and learned/reinforced many lessons. We have a couple of similar toy guns like this and this one stands out because it has these features that the other did not:- Subjectively I prefer the colors on this toy gun.- The slide and safety action on this one are better.- Comes with twice as many shells (24 vs 12).- Comes with targets (they are absolutely TINY, but still).- Comes with safety glasses, some others do not. When it comes down to it, this one costs a few more dollars than some, but the quality is better than others in our experience and it does have a few more features. We’re pleased and would get it again.

Fun toy, with acceptable (not impressive) build quality
I got this as part of a game with my other roommates. The build quality is decent, about what you would expect for plastic parts. The springs are good. Consistency of shot is Ok. Due to the flex of the plastic, some of the mechanisms for casing ejection don't always work well, and it can only handle a about half as many bullets as the mag can hold. Overall, it is still fun, but I'm not impressed.

very cool toy, realistic mechanics, plenty of ammo, two magazines and targets
This is actually pretty cool little guns. It is a great toy to get kids used to shooting. It is a lot safer than a real gun, until they get down the basics. This whole thing works pretty realistically. The slide assembly does kick back when the trigger is pulled, and it will eject an empty shell casing each time. It is not 100% realistic, but pretty close. The shell casings their selves do most of the work. They are spring loaded, and when you load the bullet piece in, it locks into place and a pin pops out the back. That gets hit by the firing pin inside the gun, and Releases the projectile. You can even set them off in your hand, so be careful while loading. Great toy, great price, highly recommended.

Very cool and fun to see it work, just be careful
This pistol runs entirely off springs and is semi-automatic, so pulling the trigger cycles the pistol without needing to charge it for every shot. No batteries are needed. The capacity is 6 rounds per magazine (2 magazines are included). The orange darts aren't exactly "soft." They're actually hard plastic, so just be careful where you're aiming. It would also be a good idea for everyone in the room to wear eye protection (one set of glasses is included), because the darts ricochet very easily. The force that propels the darts comes entirely from a small spring inside each shell. The shells eject after each shot, forced out by the magazine spring. This is cool, and it works fairly authentically even down to the slide locking open on the last shot.I'm a bit disappointed by the short range of the darts. It's still fun to use and watch operate, but don't expect to hit things from very far away. Also, because of the small size of the darts, you'll likely lose a few of them.Per the product description, I do think this would be suitable as a training tool as there are similarities between the way this operates and the real thing.Overall, I think this is pretty cool and it's definitely fun to mess with and see how the real thing works. However, just be careful as those orange darts can bounce off things and toward others.

Great for teaching safety
I went ahead with ordering this to help me with my pistol aiming while at home since I cannot fire my handgun in the house lol. This toy has the likeness of a real pistol and love the features for reloading and loading a clip with the included bullets. The included glasses are very cheap and flimsy, but are fine for small children looking to learn the fundamentals of aiming and handling a real firearm. The bullets are super easy to load and add them to the 2 included magazines that came with the set. One thing that I do have an issue with is that once the mag is loaded in the gun it automatically chambers itself unlike a real pistol so don't pull the slide or it will eject the loaded bullet.Overall I have to say I am happy with this toy as a learning tool for young kids and adults looking to educate themselves as well. I may gift this to my my nephew to help him learn the fundamentals so he can prepare for when he turns 13 and able to use his actual handgun out in the hills with us.
