Q: can you remove the cane handle?

No the cane does not come apart in any way. It does fold into three pieces and has a strap to hold it together when folded. I bought it for my husband when we fly on an airplane to put above his head or in the pocket in front of us when we are seated. He likes it very much and has fun with the light.

Q: can the light be removed?

I believe the light cannot be removed since it's part of the handle. Unless you break it off, but I highly don't recommend doing so. Hope I answered your question.. have a blessed day!

No this doesn't come with a carrying, at least the one I got didn't.
