This is a good sized egg separator that will hold the yolk safely, as well as firmly in place whilst the white falls away through the cracks. The bowl easily holds the yolk from the largest hen’s egg and is likely to be suitable for larger duck eggs as well. A handy gadget to aid egg separation.

I really like this egg separator. It's very simple and classic, and a good chunky size. It's marked as SUS 304 which is good kitchen-quality stainless steel. The three slots allow any egg white to fall through and down, leaving the egg yolk suspended. So you can either allow the gg yolk to fall into your recipe, or into a cup (and then you can pop the egg yolk into the recipe instead). As its stainless steel it's non toxic and should last forever if well cared for. Just be sure to give it a good scrub after use, mine has a tiny gap where the separator meets the handle that will need to be kept clean. Lovely and I'm glad I chose this.
