Standard French Press - Makes A Good Cup!
This is a very bog-standard french press used to prepare coffee and coffee-type liquids. Very simply, water and coffee goes in, wait 4 minutes, then press the plunger down to filter the coffee grounds out of the coffee. As is typical with a french press, it makes a good strong cup of coffee. Cleaning can be a pain, but that issue is not unique to this model. The plunger/filter comes apart for thorough washing, just make sure you don't lose any pieces or bend/damage the filter components. I'd get a carafe along with a french press, because the longer the coffee sits with the grounds, the stronger it gets. Believe it or not, coffee that is too strong can cause problems for your body. French press coffee is naturally stronger than drip-brewed.

Great quality, makes the best coffee I ever had
Works very well with an electric kettle, and fresh ground coffee. After pouring hot water in, wait for 10 seconds, and push filter down and pour your first cup of morning joe. I then pour the remaining coffee into a thermo bottle, not to leave the coffee with the coffee ground in the glass for too long. BTW - it is glass, how long it last all depends on how careful you are when handling it, it is just that simple.

Works surprisingly well, but concerned about longevity
I've been going back and forth on how to grade this for a while. It is certainly effective and does its job surprisingly well (5/5), but I'm very leery about it's durability (3/5), and not sure whose product this really is (2/5) (see pics). So I gave it a 4-star for now because it works well, and I'll share its ups and downs for you to decide:PROs - Easy to use (brew, push, pour) - Good size, doesn't take up much space on the counter (even the 34-oz) - Good design, comfortable to hold and use - Container is clear glass so you can see the contents (how well it's brewing, how much is in there, etc.) - Glass withstands a wide range of temperatures - The filter is incredibly effective! But it threw me at first. The listing says "four-layer filtration system" (which is better than 1 or 2 layers, right?), so I was expecting 4 different gradations of filters, from coarse to fine. What you get is 2 super-fine mesh screens sandwiched between two pieces of metal with big holes. That had me rather skeptical (because it's really just 2 layers after all). But when I used it, it filtered the grounds out COMPLETELY. I mean, not a single grain got through to the coffee. Even when I pressed with a fair amount of force to get every last drop (the grounds were bone-dry!), the coffee remained sediment-free. Kudos! - Glass withstands high pressures - When holding the lid in place to pour, it doesn't leak out the sides - The spout is angled well so there's no spilling or dripping - Easy to clean. Some of the grounds had to be picked/brushed out of the filter, but there were surprisingly few!CONs - Glass is very thin and fragile (first one came with a giant crack). It may withstand temperatures and pressure, but not impact. Be VERY careful not to hit it with or on anything, and don't drop it! - Lid doesn't form a seal of any kind. It sits loosely, so be sure to hold it on when pouring. - The plastic pieces on the lid are cheap plastic (though the handle is sturdier and thicker). - I have no idea who I'm dealing with for any customer support concerns. The listing is offered by "Dircolz", but the packaging and instructions all say "Aoyalai" (with a "Dircolz" sticker slapped on top - see pics). Might be a challenge if I need to contact anyone in the future.

Affordable and works great
I love this for my expresso! The only con is getting all of the expresso powder out of the little filters. But that’d to be expected

Glass is not durable!
I love this size! but it is only good for tea, it is small for coffee. But! return! The glass cracked immediately upon first use.

Revolutionises the way I make Thai tea!
If you enjoy the mysterious, dark, orange, and sweet tea at Thai and other Asian restaurants usually labeled "Thai Iced Tea" on the menu you've probably wondered how to do it at home. I've bought pre-mixed stuff here on Amazon and local azn groceries. It always ends up in a huge mess where more liquid is left soaking in the tea than I get into my cup and mouth and belly. The pre-mix stuff leaves me thinking Thai tea is made of sticks and bark of the tea tree instead of leaves. It floats to the top of the liquid, remaining dry. It soaks up all the water expanding in size, and spills and splashes everywhere leaving orange stains. I watched a pro make it on yout ube and he passed the mixture, gallons at a time, back and forth between huge cauldrons. Ugh! One day I had the bright idea I should use a French press. And it works! Marvelous!I put two heaping tablespoons (I'm not using measuring spoons, these are just the largest spoons in my flatware drawer) of the premix along with two spoons of any black tea blend. With the plunger removed, add boiling water from a kettle about ¾ full. The tea mix will float on top. Put the plunger down to meet the tea, and fill the rest of the beaker to the lip of the spout. Steep at least five minutes. I actually like long-steeped bitter tea, but you do you. After steeping slowly push down the plunger to the bottom. To make it hot fill a mug ¼ with creamer and two spoons of sugar, then pour tea and stir. For cold, make that same ratio of creamer and sugar in a separate cup, put ice into a larger mug, pour the tea over the ice, pour the creamer/slurry slurry into the tea, then mash downwards to mix.To the quality of this French press in particular: no qualms. The polycarbonate beaker glass seems sturdy. I'm not usually partial to rose gold, but this looks nice and appropriate for tea.Don't mix kitchen equipment for coffee and tea. If you plan on making both, buy two. Coffee leaves behind oils that will never get out and affect the taste of everything forever.

Awesome!
This is a great item; it is sturdy, holds a great amount of coffee and actually keeps it hot for a long while. There is very little to no grounds that get around the filter, and it presses very smoothe, too. Very happy with this item.
