Large Steel Freestanding Floor Parcel Lockable Drop Slot Mail Box, Grey

This is a very sturdy mailbox. I made a concrete block with bolts sticking up for the mailbox mounting. There is no curb in front of my house so I needed to make the mounting block to position the mailbox opening at the USPS required height. The mailbox will hold a lot of mail. You can also take the bottom shelf out and put in a basket. I will do that if traveling for a long period of time. Very pleased with the purchase.

Arrived on time and was well packaged. Looks exactly like the pictures. The lock needed a bit of graphite but works fine. I will probably replace it with one I can get duplicate keys made for and that is a little bit more robust in the inside or working guts. I'm a retired locksmith so I'm picky about locks. (Bad pun, sorry) The tailpiece is adjusted properly and provides as much security as is possible with this type of set-up. Locks are only deterrence.Only have two minor quibbles, the paint on the inside of the bottom was scraped around the center hole probably during production. It appears to still have the primer so I doubt it will be a problem. The only other thing is it's noisy, about what you'd expect from a hollow metal box. Don't put it where it'll get bumped if you like quiet. On the other hand you'll know when someone uses or abuses it if you're in hearing range.The box meets all our expectations and over all we are pleased. I knew going in I'd want to upgrade the lock. The only other comment is that we used a different anchor bolt set up than those that were included. If you've never installed concrete anchors you may need better instructions than what's included. We ultimately decided we like it enough to purchase one for our second home also.

THIS BOX IS STURDY AND LOOKS GREAT. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IT DID COME WITH 2 KEYS WHICH IS BETTER THAN WHAT SOME OTHERS GOT ON HERE BUT I LOST 1 IMMEDIATELY AND TRIED TO GET COPIES MADE AT 2 DIFFERENT LOCKSMITHS AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DO IT. SO NOW WERE GOING TO HAVE TO PROTECT THIS KEY LIKE GOLD OR NOT LOCK IT AND CLOSE IT WITH DUCT TAPE. IF I WANTED THINGS TO LOOK JANKY STILL I WOULDVE JUST STUCK WITH WHAT I HAD. I WAS HOPING THERE WOULD BE SOME WAY TO GET MORE KEYS ON HERE BUT I CANT FIND ANYTHING ABOUT IT

Great value! It was drilled into my cement slab in the bottom for improved security. I also had stone put around it for aesthetic reasons, but it wasn't really necessary.

Was trying to find a way to secure my packages when I am not at home and this was a great idea a little pricey but worth it at first the set up was easy with instructions and is very sturdy. But I only kept it for a couple of days only because of the size. The length is nice, but it doesn't offer much help for medium to larger boxes infact most amazon packages ended up begin left on the doorstep because they could not fit so for that reason alone I decided to return it and get a different product

I have a bookkeeping and income tax business and with Coronavirus changing the way of doing business, I needed a secure way of allowing clients to drop off sensitive information in a secure manner. This drop box provides exactly that. My son and I installed it ourselves and the very next day, a client used it without us informing them it was there. It will get a lot of use this tax season.

The best!! First one was damaged in shipping. Amazon sent a new one and it's perfect. Honestly they could package it a bit sturdier for shipping but they stand behind it and replaced the broken one. The mail box functions perfectly and it looks very nice on the front of my son's home

This item has so much potential. But it falls short.IF YOU NEED TO INSTALL IN CONCRETE the anchors provided are inadequate. We had to buy all new anchors and an enormous and expensive drill bit. The installation also took two hours.The lock is flimsy and is just a little padlock key with nothing special about it. It would be easy to open the lock if you used a generic key. The key is not specially cut.The box itself can take packages that are small like books or the smallest Amazon boxes. But the compartment is not large enough for anything bigger.
