Great for the beach
Great backpack cooler. Leak proof zippers. Lightweight and comfortable to carry hands free which is great when you are lugging multiple items from the car to the beach or picnic area. Size is great for several drinks and food. Keeps cold even sitting in full sun. There is a zippered area on top to hold others items that do not need to be kept cold. No need to spend your money on one of the expensive brands. This will meet you needs.

Modifying my previous review that’s where they …
OK, the company did contact me immediately after my initial review. They sent me out a different backpack. I tested the backpack by putting water directly into it and setting it on the table. I am happy to say it is 100% leak proof at this point . I love the fact that they contacted me immediately when I had a problem with their product. Within two days, I had a new backpack to replace the old one and the new one seems to work perfectly fine and I absolutely love it!Old reviewNot only is his product, not waterproof, it also leaks down your back if something leaks inside the backpack. I do like the storage compartments. I do like the size and the comfort, but do not buy it if you think it’s waterproof!

Not very water proof
Love that there's many pockets on this backpack, very useful and great for trips, and it is very water resistant but not waterproof. I've used this bag paddleboarding and had the bag fall in, all zippers were closed but some water still got inside. Would recommend packing other dry bags if you choose to take electronics and such just to be sure

Great for adult beverage bag!
This is a great bag for me to carry my adult beverages around when I go to events. It has many slots for me to put shot cups, wallet and anything I need when I bring it. It holds the ice cold for most of the day which is a plus!

IT SWEATS BADLY
Used it on a river/float trip and it was fine, it did not let river water in and kept items cold.... HOWEVER... next time I used it was on a road trip. IT got so wet with sweating it soaked everything else in the vicinity of the trunk of the car. Lost several board games (one of which was a $109 game), had wet clothes, had to find a laundry mat to dry up... it was like a water bomb went off in my trunk. Not happy with it but past the refund deadline. Urgh.

Actually works well! Great value!
I was a bit dubious about this actually working, but it really did remain leak-proof. The exterior bottom of the cooler bag gets cold, but not wet. I am not a tall person or strong person, so putting it on when it was full was a bit of a challenge - I had to put it on a table and put it on from there. The chest connector at first seemed to strangle me but once I adjusted it, it was actually very comfortable. I usually use frozen water bottles instead of ice, and I was impressed at how long the water bottles stayed frozen. They were still mostly frozen 8 hours later, and I had to take them out of the bag to thaw out. I didn't have it in full sun, so that likely helped. But it was still impressive. I put baby wipes and napkins in the top zipper portion, and opening the main compartment with the baby wipes made the top kind of flop hard but it held on. I do wish that the handles on the side were more like the handle in the back (between the shoulder straps - hard to see in the pictures), with the grip. When full, carrying it by the back handle is not feasible for me and the side handles are not as comfortable. I put a fleece throw blanket on the top under the bungee rope and it held perfectly. I was able to pack 6 frozen water bottles, 6 not-frozen water bottles, 6 - 8 capri suns, and sandwiches for 4 people in the main compartment. My friend wants the Yeti backpack and I'm way too frugal to spend that kind of money. After using the Hulongo bag multiple times, I am very happy with the value of my purchase. We've even just put it in the trunk of the car with ice packs to keep drinking water cold so after shopping / running errands, we can still have a nice cold beverage. Have to be honest, though, probably wouldn't take it on long hikes because it would be too heavy for me personally to carry (because I can really load it up!). But short hikes or walks from the car to the picnic spot are perfectly reasonable. Or even leaving it in the car - it works just as well as my large cooler but doesn't take up as much space. I really do love it!

It’s not wet proof
The seals around the zippers and seams are not 100% waterproof. Use (commercial) ice blocks not loose ice. I wouldn’t want liquids to spill or lose the liquid that is keeping items cold. It keeps items cold if you keep it in shade and upright. It serves my purpose of traveling. But I wouldn’t keep it in the car in the sun.
