My lovely cat has been destroying my furniture, specifically my couch, and nothing would deter her. I tried everything! If she wasn’t scratching the sides of the couch, she went behind it and scratched the back of it. I bought this product with only a shred of hope that it would make her stop, but it did! She hates the smell of it. The smell is definitely present when the product is sprayed, but it doesn’t bother me and has a natural scent to it. I have a white and very light grey colored fabric couch and the product does not stain it at all. When I first started using it, after the scent had faded in about an hour, my cat would come back and try to scratch again, so I would respray the product. Once I started using it regularly, she slowly stopped trying to scratch the couch, and now I only use it once every few days. It took a few weeks to get to this point, but I’m so pleased with the results I don’t care. One thing I like is that it does not deter her from wanting to cuddle with me on the couch, it only stops her from scratching at it. My cat used to also jump on the cooking counters, so now I spray this on the floor in front of the counter and she doesn’t even try to jump up anymore. I will be repurchasing this again once I run out.

This stuff is pretty great. It's kept my recently-attracted-to-carpet kitty from scratching, and makes my house smell great while doing so. The rosemary scent is strong enough to keep the kitties away without triggering my allergies. HOWEVER - the spray nozzles on these bottles have been atrocious. Out of the 5 I've used so far, only 1 has actually acted as a spray. The others either don't work at all, or I get more dribble down the side of the bottle and on my hands than on the carpet, and that's with trying just about every angle imaginable using the bottle and the sprayer it came with. I've had to save the one working one and pass it down from each bottle I've gotten. Other than that, this has been a great product.

Did not work for my cats

This is the best anti scratch product that I’ve purchased and has a pleasant scent. At first I followed other buyers’ suggestions and sprayed with it several times a day. Now once seems a day seems to be sufficient!

Followed the instructions and my cat still clawed at the furniture. Might work with other cats but mine was not phased by it at all.

We have 5 cats…with claws. Had just reupholstered two chairs that had previously been pretty much destroyed by the kitties.Tried “Emmy’s” before they had chance to start on the new chairs . Followed instructions. Easy to use, reasonably nice scent, prevented the scratching. I do find that if I don’t spray regularly (every day ideally) they will resume scratching. But so far the chairs are perfectly fine and maybe after time , with repeat usage, they’ll forget they even WANTED to scratch those chairs 😸

It works but only last approx 3-5 hours depending what you spray it on. The scent to humans is not bad. Would recommend followup spraying after initial spraying every 5-6 hours.Cost in my opinion is high.

The spray smells good and works. The pump was a little faulty, but I still like it

Effectively stops cats from scratching furniture in areas where sticking the plastic sheets on is not practical. The only problem is you have to spray it multiple times during the day.

I have two kittens and was hoping to keep them away from certain areas like the curtains and power plugs. I saw the reviews and hoped that the product would work at least partially. It turned out to be an absolute waste of time and effort. The spray does absolutely nothing. I have no idea what it contains but it smells bad to humans and the kittens dont ven seem to notice it. At first I thought I was not spraying enough or doing it often enough. But the kittens sniff at at it and to make matters worse seems to be attracted to it sometimes. What exactly is this spray for ? In m y opinion it is an absolute scam designed to fool pet owners.Stay away from it and keep your hard earned money.

I tried this on fabric chairs. I did it twice a day for a week. Cats didn’t care just kept scratching chairs.
