The holster is mounted on a closed cell foam pad to add support to the entire unit. Our inserts are designed to stand up in your purse while surrounded by its contents. Essentially your stuff holds the holster and weapon in place. The main idea is to keep the weapon confined in an upright position ready to draw. Right or Left The hand you use to draw and pull the trigger of your firearm dictates the RIGHT or LEFT. The purse holsters are designed to be used with the padding toward the body. The right draw holster means the butt of the pistol points toward the rear on your right side. The draw also works with your purse worn on your left side using a cross body draw. Where else can I use this? Take it out of your purse or pocket and place in your car console or between the seats, so your weapon is in easy reach. Use them in a gym bag, camera case, backpack, blind bag. Set it on the night stand or in a drawer. The options are limitless. Each holster will fit several different weapons of various measurements, therefore some will fit looser and some tighter in the holster. The holster will have a breaking-in period.
