great value for money
unlike most of these systems, this product requires no ongoing subscription costs. However, be aware that the phone notification is not continuous, or particularly loud - Its like an email coming in. We simply added the application to 4 family members, who between them, should get notified and call eachother.

Seems to work okay...
Odd that it doesn't come with a USB to 3-pin plug adapter, and bit quirky in operation (via Tuya app), but seems to work pretty well, good coverage throughout house and garden...

Peace of mind
This little gadget is great! I got it for my mum as she was recently unwell. I got the one with 2 emergency buttons which are attached to a lanyard which is worn round the neck. When pressed the little box lights up in red letters “sos” and an alarm goes off.I’ve also connected it to my phone (iPhone 13) so I get the notifications through my phone but also my Apple Watch will is very reassuring as I won’t miss it!Good price and I’d happily recommend!

If I could give this 0 stars i would
When we received the alarm we noticed that the 2 sos buttons were not in their bags. I set this up as the manual instructed and I even downloaded the 2 apps (why 2 apps I don't know) I connected the 2 buttons ok and paired the phones all ok so far so good. So to try it out my wife went to the bottom of our garden ( which is just over 100 feet ) and I pressed the sos button but nothing came up on either of our phones. I'm a retired systems analyst so I know my way around computers , so I tried deleting the apps and scanned the QR codes again and set it up to our wifi which is a very good 900 mbps download so we tried it again this time my wife only went 2/3 rds down the garden and again i pressed the sos button and once again the base sounded loud and clear but nothing on her phone. So we have returned it to amazon for a refund.

Make sure you read all the details
The cost to have it notify your phone is way to expensive. You do see how much until you get to the end of all the of all the information good selling trick . Not happy

Works but has some quirks
I got this for my father who has Parkinson's and lives alone. It's not that he's at a point where he absolutely has to have something, but it's more for peace of mind. This works perfectly well. If he presses the button I get alert on my phone through the app. I turned off the siren because if he's in trouble he doesn't need a siren going off at his end. I'm not sure what that is for. Certainly not for remote monitoring. Set up is where you start to encounter the first quirk. There are two apps and it says you can use either one. Why are there two apps? That really doesn't make any sense to me. However, I picked one app (Tuya Smart) and started to follow the instructions. The instructions are relatively clear and I got the device connected to my Wi-Fi in no time. However, when I tried to add a button it seemed to just hang on the connection screen. The connection screen said that it would automatically cancel out in 15 seconds, but it just kept on counting and counting. As a result, I had to cancel out and I couldn't see any connected buttons in the accessories list. However, when I press the button it triggered the alarm so I guess it was added. After setting this all up using Wi-Fi. I can confirm that when away from the house, not connected to the same Wi-Fi, I still get the notifications when the button is pressed. This is exactly what I wanted it for. Another quirk is that it seems to be set up like a home alarm system in the app. So you can say whether it's disarmed your home etc. And saying your home sounds the alarm oddly. So you leave it in the disabled state when you want it to be ready for button presses. Not the end of the world but a bit odd / unintuitive. My only other slight complaint is that it uses micro USB as opposed to USB type-c for power. It also doesn't come with a wall plug so you'll have to supply your own.All in all this is still a decent device and does in fact work as intended.

Does the job
This was purchased with an elderly relative in mind.It looks like an SOS system with the big SOS sign and the 2 emergency buttons but I get the impression this is an alarm system thats been modded to act as an SOS system. For example when the sos buttons are pressed why have a loud alarm going off, where the potentionally injured person is? Why have a jack for an external siren. an SOS system is about notifying someone that you are in peril (Not by sounding a massive alarm)To connect the alarm to wifi you will need a dual band router. Once connected the alarm seems to work fine. You have the option of using 2 apps (Why 2?)Connecting the alert buttons was tricky but it happended in the end.The app I used seemed to work fine and I did recieve notifications when away from the house.I don't like that the item feels more like an alarm than an sos syetm.I don't like that it uses a micro usb connector as opposed to the more modern USBCYou also don't get an actual plug adapter to use with the power cable. The sos buttons come active as in the batteries will have been discharging for however long its been sitting in a warehouse somewhere.Does this SOS system do its job: YESIs it worth the asking price… Just about
