Husband had lower left leg removed and wanted some crutches instead of always using the wheelchair. I saw these and thought they may be better than the old wooden kind. My husband loves these. He says the padded armpits are comfortable and the way they are built makes them easy for him to use. They also have big rubber pads on the ends making them safer.

I love puzzles … I put them together… and now to learn how to use them….i definitely like the look of the crutches… surgery in a month

Update: the more I use these and adjust to them, the more I like them. On standard crutches, the middle piece where your hand goes will need to be tightened from time to time. That is not necessary with these. There is no play with the hand grips. Also on hot days, the standard aluminum crutches can get pretty hot when left in the car. At times I had to use a small towel in each hand. With these, the top piece is plastic and well ventilated, and the hand grip part is also rubber so it doesn't get too hot to touch.I am not a heavy crutch user, but I do use them very frequently. It took me a little bit to adjust to these, but once I did, I really prefer these to my former standard crutches.These are larger and heavier, and that larger size adds to the more solid, substantial feeling to these. The bottom part that comes in contact with the ground is also larger. The handles on these also put your hands out a bit more to the side, and that feels a little more natural. The angled, flexible part at the top is also nicer, more comfortable than regular crutches. No need for foam pads, and it is easier to not end up resting most of your weight on the top of the crutch (which over time can cause nerve damage). These feel like they should last a very long time.The only real negative I have about these is how they are assembled. With most standard crutches, there is a piece at the bottom that is used to adjust the height. That piece has markings for a recommended setting based on the height of the user. Also, with these markings it is very easy to adjust for different users and to return to a prior setting. These crutches have no markings and you can adjust length with the upper piece, as well as also with the lower piece. There are no dimples, holes, etc to position the adjustments. As a result it will probably take a little trial and error to get the adjustments originally set. Once set, there should be no slippage in the settings.I can easily recommend these.

These crutches have made using crutches infinitely better than the standard grey ones. They’re a bit annoying to put together but it’s simple to do.

There are several pieces parts in the box. Emm, following the instructions manual, only few minutes i could assemble the crutches. Easy peasy!! The grip is extremely soft and ergonomic. And the crutch tip is looks very solid and reliable. However, the saddle part is my favorite, you can totally put your weight on it after long walk for a short break- soft and supportive. Great design ~
