RAK Quick Release Soft Close Wrap Over Seat

After trying to be charged £85 for this in a local shop (after an apparent discount bringing it down from £120!!) and without it being packaged properly and one hinge missing it was great to receive this fully intact, complete with instructions and packaged very securely. No damage and everything vacuum packed, both the seat and the box, with box corners protected too. A very good start!It takes a bit of patience and fiddling with the hinges to get it in the correct place to sit properly on the toilet bowl but once secured it was great and very sturdy. Nice slow closing lid and looks good.Ensure you measure up before buying as there are so many different sizes and shapes out there but this one was perfect for us. Very happy with the supplier and product.

I have a high rise toilet with soft toilet seat close by RAK, put in by bathroom fitter. The toilet seat failed to 'soft close' after 6 years and you get used to it, so needed a new one. They are very expensive, but after finding the correct size as there are so many to to choose from we ordered at 2pm one day and it was here 11am next day. Fantastic and these toilets are really good for cleaning and well made. Unfortunately you cannot order direct from RAK.................PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CORRECT SIZE

Chose this to replace a RAK maxi toilet seat. A bit fiddley to fit but easy to follow instructions. Slightly smaller (1cm) in length and holes for hinges in a different place. Managed to get it to fit but still expensive for a loo seat!

Top down fitting so this was easy to install.I bought a new flat last year with a RAK toilet and the soft close seat it had did not close properly most of the time. This was the second time I had installed a soft close seat so it was definitely easier having done it before. The important thing here was to make sure I had the right size as my toilet seems a little larger than standard, so most toilet seats I found would have been a little bit too small. This one fits well. It is also adjustable so I adjusted it to sit as far forward as possible. I hope it lasts longer than the previous one must have! If it doesn't I'll come back and update this review.

Good quality replacement seat, better than the original that came with the toilet.

Replacement toilet seat had different screws to existing one so needed a bit if tie to fit.
