Traverse, Black

This was my first Suunto product and after using this for some hikes and an extended weekend camping trip, I wanted to share my thoughts. I have had this watch for about 2 months. Battery life is excellent, even using GPS mode. The watch exudes quality, its programming is simple to use, yet powerful. Features are excellent.very practical. Was going to purchase brand name watch with color plotting and realized I did not want that over battery life. The monochrome display is highly visible in the sun. The Suunto App is also pretty easy to use and effective to plot where you went. After hiking along shore in NJ I was able to sync the watch with my phone to show my family where we walked, distance avg speed etc, they were blown away. You can also sync against color aerials. I absolutely love this watch! I would recommend this product and look forward to using it for many years to come. I am hooked on suunto quality.

I received mine today.First of all-- the pics (mine or the google ones) DO NOT do this watch justice. It looks nice enough to wear every day, any occasion, short of super formal. I have watches that cost me 20 times what this one cost, and I like this one better :-)The first time I tried to get GPS signal, I was outside my office. It took almost 5 minutes. I had just set the "gps time" feature ON. The watch wanted to log onto the sats to figure out where I was. It did, then it immediately gave me my position and the sunrise sunset info. I've asked for gps location 5 times since, and 2 of those times I was INDOOR-- got signal in seconds.Standing outside my house, I tried that one button push "log POI" feature (kind of like dropping a pin on google or apple maps)... It took literally 2 seconds to find sats and log the point. Then I walked a small path in my neighborhood that I know is exactly 500m. The watch logged the walk as 0.5km, perfect.I know-- none of this is groundbreaking nor did I put the watch through some strenuous tests, but nevertheless-- it does the things it's supposed to do exactly the way they claim it does them. With all the crap out there (in general, not necessarily watches) I AM IMPRESSED.Can't wait till the weekend to mess with ALL its features.Would Definitely recommend.PS.... IOS notifications working perfectly.

This watch has been one great beast. I was considering the Traverse Alpha but decided I didn't want to spend the extra bucks on features I wouldn't use. Plus, i am not a fan of the nylon bands that the Traverse Alpha comes with; they get stinky when you sweat (so does the silicon, but you can use an alcohol wipe...can't do that for nylon). Anyhow, all the features work great. Like most watches, the Altimeter needs a reference and/or some fiddling with. The compass is spot on once calibrated, just make sure to set your proper declination for your area.The GPS functionality worked better than expected especially with Movescount app. The app is lacking in some features I would like to see but does the job. This is my first Suunto and I am glad I made the plunge. This is a great watch with a lot of features and a battery that will last 6-15 days depending on the settings. Remember, if your battery is depleting quickly, its probably a setting. Make sure to set your GPS accuracy to "good" to retain decent battery life. All in all a great, yet comfortable watch that does not feel heavy on the wrist. Take the plunge...you wont be dissatisfied.*****UPDATE******Had this watch for about a year and it’s still going strong. I visit the jacuzzi 3 times a week (usually) watch holds up great. Everything still performs and functions great. Battery is still in the 7-9 day range.I think the individuals with the negative reviews about the battery life haven’t properly taken the time to associate the watch. What happens is say if you buy a watch and select (through Movescount ) select “hiking” for your sport mode; then when you press the navigation button on the watch it will ask you what activity you’d like. You’d obviously select hiking (only one right listed right?) and go on your merry way.What most of these reviewers do not realize is the Movescount app defaults to the best gps signal, which in turn will give you terrible battery life.What needs to be done is that the sport mode your selecting needs to be adjusted. You open Movescount and select the sport and hit setting, scroll to “gps accuracy and lower the rating...”viola” problem solved.Hope this helps.

I like the watch, overall battery seems decent as long as you don't use the GPS too much, I like how you can adjust the contrast that helps seeing the screen alot better, I think I might have got a used one because when I looked them up online they actually have a sticker over the face covering the face when they're brand new, mine didn't have this and it also had a "log" in it, looks like somebody took it hiking in 2016 at least that was a date on the log,... and it said hiking, I bought it in 2023

Impresionante el reloj en toda su expresión. Asigno 4 por el app la cual es buena pero deja que desear.

I really enjoy this watch for hunting it's great for in the bush with long battery life and has all the critical functions for the GPS watch maybe not all the bells and whistles but those take away from battery life generally.

Che dire..... fantastico. GPS preciso e veloce. Altimetro altrettanto. Con l'applicazione app Moves si sincronizza e si può visualizzare il percorso anche con un video...
