Very firm bristles
These toothbrushes are pretty nice. It comes with 2 toothbrushes (a regular one and an activated charcoal one). The bristles on both toothbrushes are very firm and hard, just like the packaging states. I feel like it worked well for me. I have a lot of stains due to smoking and drinking coffee, and I like the firmness of the bristles because I feel like it helps to remove all of that stuff. If you have very sensitive teeth or gums than these may not be for you.

Very firm bristles
This is described as a tool for smokers to remove teeth stains. While I don't smoke, I do drink a lot of coffee and that has left me with some discoloration on my teeth hence why I am trying it out.Bristles are extremely firm. Maybe a little too firm. Even healthy gums are going to take a beating while using this brush. While it's marketed for removing stains off smokers' teeth, I'm unsure how effective this is because you really can't brush vigorously enough while also not doing a number on your gums. Also, one of the brushes has activated charcoal as a component, I guess in an effort to leech stains out of the teeth. I cannot see how in the course of 2 minutes of brushing (without solid contact for the entire 2 minutes....as brushing means the bristles are constantly moving) that charcoal infused into the brushes will have any lasting effect. You are better off getting a product that sits on the teeth (I have used charcoal paste before) so that it works properly. As the brush is not applying any charcoal onto the teeth to sit, I don't see how having charcoal in the bristles will accompkish anything. All said, this product is quite a miss. I've used it for a week and have yet to see any difference. Maybe it's because I can't really brush properly because the bristles are just too firm. If you are looking for a product to help with stain removal, I think there are more suitable options out there.

Great toothbrush
Doesn't hurt my gums. They rinse all the toothpaste off the brush.

Finally, truly firm toothbrushes
Most people dislike hard toothbrushes and typical dentists advise against using them, citing concerns over receding gums. Well, I have the opposite problem; if I use soft toothbrushes, even brushing twice or more a day, my gums grow and increasingly cover my teeth, while becoming progressively more sensitive and bleeding easily. I NEED to have a hard toothbrush to keep them in check. Unfortunately, hard toothbrushes are actually really challenging to find on shelves in America now; it's almost as if they were banned. So finding these genuinely hard toothbrushes is a huge relief to me. They do a good job at really scrubbing my teeth and keeping my gums clean, firm, and where they belong! It does amuse me that they are labeled as "smokers' brushes" when I've never in my life used tobacco products. I do, however, love coffee and black tea, both of which I drink all day long and consequently want to give my teeth a good polishing every night to prevent staining. This pair, especially the charcoal infused one, are just what I needed.

SO HARD!
These toothbrushes are so rough and hard, they literally make your gums heavily bleed. Couldn’t use after one time. Wouldn’t recommend.
