I bought this for my brother who lives in Switzerland, where there are few choices among hair products. He likes it to help tame his wavy hair. In his own words: "It's great smelling and texture...only problem is if it gets on a little too thick it can give your hair a green tint". I've sent this Hair Food to my brother twice now, so that speaks for itself. Maybe I should get some!

In my humble opinion, Palmer's Hair Food is the best stuff ever. I wasn't too sure about it when I had gotten it. The stuff looked like yellow-jello-gelatin-goop. Use too much, your hair will have that wet shine look to it and be greasy and stiff to the touch. Getting the right amount in your hair is a based on experience. This product was bought in November 2011, it is now September 2012 and given I use it every one to two days, there is still half of it left. So a little goes a long way. My experience with Palmer's Hair Food taught me to scoop a very small amount and rub it on my fingers and run said fingers into the length and ends of my hair and then comb scalp to end and style as usual. It's been noted by my friends that this product is marketed towards ethic hair type. Is this is true, I don't know. My hair is standard Asian (Indian, in fact) straight, black, waist length hair. And anyone who ever had the luxury of having long hair will tell you it is pain to maintain, much less keep your locks luxurious and healthy. Nevertheless, this product made my hair soft, shiny and manageable. So in the end, yes, I would recommend this product as it has worked for me. And remember! A little goes a long way. :)
