Miss Twiggley's Tree

This was my daughter's favorite book when she was 4 and 5 years old. She will be 60 this month. I purchased it to read to my great granddaughter.

This is one of our favorite children's books. We have given it for gifts many times. It is the story of kindness to those who are different than ourselves. We judge so many times the we do not understand. MissTwiggy forgave the unkindness of others and shared yourself the it was important.Love the book!

So glad this sweet book can still be located online. It was my favorite 40 years ago and I buy it for every friend that has a new baby.

My preschool class!

I grew up with this book and it has become a tradition and treasure in my family. I wanted a special gift for my nieces baby. I was over the moon when I found this! What great life lessons to be passed on to the next generation! THANK YOU for putting this back in print!!!

I remember this book when I was in kindergarten. All of my siblings and I adored the story of Miss Twiggly, her dog Puss and the bears and it had been one of our absolute favorites. With the passage of time, we lost the book through various moves. It had gone out of print and was going to be expensive to replace let alone read to our own children. Thank goodness this beloved book is back in print and even available for the Kindle.The story is absolutely delightful and really delivers a message about understanding, community unity and pulling together in spite of our differences. This, in my view, is exactly the kind of message we need to be passing along to kids of all ages. In spite of this book having been written 500-odd years ago, the telling and the message are both timeless.The downsides of the Kindle version is you do have to read it in landscape orientation and I was unable to size the images / page. That might prove frustrating for younger readers or adults who are trying to read the story to kids or grandkids. I will most probably be getting an actual print version of this book so I can pass it along.

I have an original of this book and wanted to give one to my grand niece. It appears this version is a digital reproduction and, in my opinion as a Graphic Designer, lost some richness and resolution of the original prints. However, there is a very nice addition at the end, of a short bio of the author which this reviewer loved. Because I cherish this book so much, I was hoping for a slightly better reproduction, but most people won't have a problem with this edition; the gloss paper is still nice stock and the binding looks fine.Fortunately, the story of Miss Twiggley remains an excellent lesson in being yourself as well as the benefits of helping others. With its fantasy-rich illustrations of the best-ever tree house, the tale gets 10 stars!

This was my favorite book as a child, and having recently become a mother, I’ve had the pleasure of revisiting it with my own daughter. It’s such a sweet story, and the illustrations and prose are enjoyable for both kids and parents.I have the original 1966 book and I ordered this reprint for a friends family. The illustrations are a bit more vivid, but in general I was pleased with the quality. I also really love the page in the back that shares a little background about the creation of the book!

My niece loved this book as a baby gift. My girls loved this story about the lady who lived in a tree. I wanted to share something that meant so much to us with her and her new baby. A lovely book about sharing, kindness and shyness.

This was my favorite book as a child along with my siblings. It was an absolute delight to give this to my brother and sister for they're birthdays this year. Great read for all!Thanks for making our childhood memories return!
