These are real rabbit fur not faux or over-processed so even a cat can't tell it's real fur. I have one cat that can smell these through their unopened package. To be fair, they don't last forever if your cat is enthusiastic, but they hold up better than some of their foam balls do and they love them. It really brings out the tiny predator in them. I don't use them for crafts, but they are very fluffy and soft, and pretty lightweight. The inside (I've seen that up close many times) is some sort of natural fiber it looks like. And when they start to disintegrate from repeated beatings, they can be sewn back together with a tracker inside if you like. One of my cats carries one around in her mouth all the time and it doesn't get dirty from it. Overall, a great cat toy.

The media could not be loaded. Unless I am doing the playing, my boy has never entertained himself. And doesn't seem to know how. But this....Zigs has been flipping, stalking, hiding and batting this ball for over 15minutes. I'm ordering more!

These are bigger than I expected--about 2.5-3ish inches in diameter. Like baby tribbles! I enjoy petting the smooth rabbit fur but the cat I bought these for hasn't cottoned on to them, even when I attached one to a wand toy and made it skitter around for his faux-murdering pleasure. He always wants to play with the little ball of fur (1/2"-1" in diameter) I make after brushing him out, so I was hoping this could substitute; maybe I'll try a small wool dryer ball instead. Maybe he'll warm to them later (he DID get a lot of toys for Christmas), but in the meantime, I have tribbles decorating my house.

So far so good. My cat LOVES THESE SO MUCH!!! I've had these for about 2 weeks and my kitty who loves "hunting her toys" absolutely loves these balls!! I had an attachment to a toy that my cats did not like, that was made of rabbit fur and she really loved that, so I thought I'd try these and they were an immediate, huge hit!! I have a large wall of long cat shelves and she loves to hunt her toys that are on the shelves in particular. I put them all up there once she take them down. I can tell which ones she likes best because she always hunts her favorite toys first. As soon as I put these up there, they replaced all of her other favorites and now these all come down first. I've also noticed that they are quite wet when I pick them up fairly quickly, so it appears that she is licking them or chewing on them before moving on to the next toy. So cute!! She LOVES them!!! I cannot speak to durability yet because I have not had them for long, but for 2 weeks of regular play, used intermittently in rotation with her other toys, they are holding up very well.

Ok so my sister brought over a couple of these for my cat who has high predator instincts. He went absolutely insane with them. He shredded them. So I bought a couple packs for him giving him 2 at a time. He would only play with one and shred it. He wouldn't touch the other. So I took another one out of the bag and again he shredded that one but still wouldn't touch the other 1st one. Gave him a 3rd one he shredded that one as well. Gave him the last one from the open bag and he shredded that one. My sister came over that originally gave him the balls and she opened the second bag. After we told her he won't touch that one. We noticed the core inside is different from all the others. When she opened the second bag she said that the one he wouldn't touch from the first bag even feels different and she was right. It was a fake. He wants absolutely nothing to do with that fake ball that came in that first bag.But besides that he absolutely loves these things. He literally shreds them. He is so much fun to watch. Even though there was a fake one we will buy them again because he loves them so much. The fake one is the reason for the 3 stars or else it would have been 5.

In my experience cats always like real fur toys, however I have a lot of very nice real fur toys from this brand sitting unused in the cat-stuff-chest because I have one cat who has developed a ravenous attitude towards these toys - he tries to eat them! And I mean crazed - like he thinks he just caught a chipmunk and is trying to rip it's head off - tries to eat them. I can't even get away with using them as wand attachments anymore because if he catches it my fingers are going to get cut up trying to pry it out of his mouth.So, although I LOVE the toys from this company, the fur feels very plush to me, and my cats have always loved real fur toys growing up (before Monkey started eating them), I wasn't able to use them very long before he just went into garbage disposal mode with them.As for durability, I will say when I was using them as wand attachments they didn't last terribly long. Then again, most of that was due to my one crazy cat. The other two "normal" cats weren't nearly so rough with the things.

My cat loves the real fur mini mice, so I figured she would love these. Nope, I think it's too fluffy for her, but her brother loves them.
