On occasion I like to treat myself to something under twenty dollars that feels like a luxury. This lip balm was it and it did not disappoint.First, the packaging is gorgeous. The lipstick case itself is so beautiful and has the added bonus of having a magnetic closure. Fantastic. There is something so satisfying feeling how the top snuggles into place.Second, the lip balm itself glides on smooth and silky. It feels exactly like a private label cosmetic brand I recently bought for over twice the price.I wish they had refills as the case on its own is so worth keeping. I might just have to get out one of my old “make your own cosmetics” books and refill it myself once it is used up.But that wouldn’t stop me from buying again! Now I want this same brand in some of their colors. This was just a very barely there color as a balm.Treat yourself. You deserve it!

The tube is too beautiful to toss. Catkin should consider making them refillable. Love the magnets on the tube. It clicks firmly together. I got the twofer - clear and a light pink (and they were considerably cheaper than they are now.) Love them both. They glide on smoothly, feel light on my lips, and last. The tinted one looks a tad darker than natural. I would not hesitate to buy them again

This lip balm is a fun little treat! It changes to a beautiful shade of pink and keeps my lips hydrated all day. Smooth, moisturizing, and the color is just right—not too bold, but just enough. A must-have for a subtle pop of color!

I purchased the shade "Amythyst".I've seen this clear color changing lip balms for a while, namely the "winx" brand at target and ulta. I think I tried one on at ulta and did fancy it.I wanted to buy one for a friend of mine as a Christmas present because she's been wanting one. I did some browsing and ended up going with this brand (catkin). It had the highest rating per review, and the packaging was very pleasing, we both love Asian dramas, so this Chinese brand seemed fitting.I was skeptical about if it would work, the colors looked light on the picture. Naturally, I was going to try it out first and then repurchase for my friend if it met my expectations. And oh my god it so did.First of all, my skin is of a medium complexion with olive undertones, and this showed up beautifully! The color I chose is a light pinkier color on the picture, but on my lips it's a little darker, literally just by a shade, and maybe more red. I made my sister try it out, her skin is darker than mine, by a shade or 2, she has more of a brown complexion with neutral undertones, and on her, it deposited pink, very much like the picture. I don't know the mechanism behind ph changing technology in makeup, but these are my results. Both of us loved it.Second, I don't wear makeup often, and I've gotten out of the habit of wearing any lip color. I used to wear a lot of dark colors, liquid lipsticks, and regular lipsticks, but it's such a hassle to maintain it throughout the day. So, this is such a suitable, happy medium for me. I get to wear some color on my lips without looking overkill. If it smears, the color doesn't slide all over the place. It's just so pretty and natural-looking, which I'm now obsessed with.Now, in terms of the color payoff and how long it lasts, it's almost like a stain, I notice that even if the shine of the balm goes away, there's still a light color left over. I don't find it to be dramatically buildable, you can definitely reapply, but it looks like the same shade just refreshed.Third, I'm very sensitive to the feeling of stuff on my skin. I don't like lotion, or the feel of oil on my skin, I hate gloss and most chapsticks because they tend to slide all over the place.BUT THIS BAAABBBYYYY, oooo boi !I am so thrilled to have discovered this brand and product, I actually went on their website to buy an entire set of these. If you have severe dry lips, I don't that this really cater or advertises to those problems, but as far as an every day hydrating lip balm this goes above and beyond. It delivers a very light but nourishing feel with it being to slimy or sticky or dry. Its the goldilocks of balms in my opinion. When I have this on, I don't feel tempted to take it off like I do with others because it's just that comfortable. You don't feel it on your lips but it's there.If you've been looking to buy a clear color changing lip product, I highly suggest going with this brand. It's beautiful both in deposit and packaging; it has a magnetic closure which just feels very luxe, secure and durable. The artwork is just gorgeous, it's effective at delivering a nourishing and comfortable layer on the lips along with sporting a beautiful natural color :)

I’m honestly not super impressed. The packaging is beyond beautiful. But the actual tint it left on my lips wasn’t complimentary to my skin tone. I’ve had other hp balms and this is the only one so far that didn’t do much for me. I picked the shade that seemed to pop more, but it’s definitely very subtle and dries quickly. My other balms stayed on ridiculously long and were usually cheaper. I just assumed it was something in the formula. My lips are darker, so maybe that’s why… not sure. I love their other lipsticks, but this hp balm I wouldn’t purchase again.

This lip balm is wonderful. It goes on very smooth and is so moisturizing. The colors are perfect for me and my skin tone.

•Beautiful, buildable, & appropriate for work. I appreciate those that can wear overly dark or matte shades to work..this review ain’t for those B.B.s. It’s light & noninvasive. Honestly, you’re could use it as a slight highlight if you’re in a pinch.•Circling back-this lipstick is beautiful on but* major bonus, it’s so aesthetically pleasing.
