Very good and pricey
I like proper tea - and by that I mean the leaves, not a tea bag and these days I only get tea from a local deli that imports and bags their own. I prefer a lighter tea but generally find that Darjeeling, although it has a lovely flavour can be a little astringent. This version is actually a little different, in that it is picked first flush. This seems to have significantly reduced the astringency and I feel it makes an excellent tea.You pay more because of the tea is organic and the leaves are first flush. But there is also only 100 gm of tea in the pack, so it is more expensive than the normal 125 gm packs and there is less tea. Therefore one star off.

It's not pure darjeeling tea leafs.
Tea is mixed with about 60-70% stumps. And also other tea leaves.I would not buy from this supplier.

Flavourful and in a resealable pack
A very pleasant loose leaf tea - meaning you need a strainer or tea pot or strainer pot.Strength wise I found 1 partially heaped teaspoon was string enough and leave it to brew for 5-7 minutes.I liked the resealable bad because if you put it in small caddy it has more air and doesn't stay fresh as long.I also like the fact it is 'organic' but I'm not entirely sure what that means or justifies it being 50% more than the price of loose leaf Darjeeling tea from Waitrose for the same amount. It is a nice tea, but i do not think it is great value enough for me to swap from my usual.

THE CHAMPAGNE OF TEAS
100g of the first flush, loose leaf Darjeeling tea in an upright foil lined paper, resealable packet. To make, only use freshly oxygenated cold water brought to the boil and immediately pour onto the leaves in a pre-warmed teapot.I use a typically large UK teapot that acts like a cafetiere, in order to stop the brew from getting too strong for my taste. It is not at all akin to what is often known as 'Builder's tea.'This first flush Darjeeling tea retains a new fresh taste profile, of sweet young grass, almost a very mild spearmint taste.Later plucked Darjeeling, tends to be more rounded and mellow, whereas this is young, bright and distinct/sharper, on the tongue. It is refreshing and a perfect accompaniment to traditional finger cucumber sandwiches, etc.Only use a smidgen of semi-skimmed milk, so as not to smoother the tea's own taste. It leaves a pleasant tannin taste on the tongue afterwards.Darjeeling is processed as a black tea and has always been on the dearer side because it is harvested in the Himalayan region, which is not the easiest terrain to work in.It also produces distinguished teas.I have been a daily tea drinker for decades and you always get a better brew from the leaves, if you treat them with care and respect, the product rewards you back.

Really smooth tasting and organic too!
First time I’ve tried this and delighted with taste. It’s nice and smooth and I just love the fact it’s organic. Comes in good quality pouch that’s resealable and protects it well from moisture.Great use by date of April 2025.It suggests 1 to 1 and half teaspoons per cup. I put that in my little tea pot then poured into my mug, I found that strength just perfect for me, and I got two cups from that quality. So this is going to last me longer, getting two cups instead of one. I suppose it’s individual taste, how strong you like it or weaker.Yes, great taste, from Himalayan tea region, lovely Darjeeling Tea, yes I thoroughly recommend.Few photos attached for reference.

Lovely cup of tea from these leaves
The Darjeeling Himalayan first flush organic tea is a really nice quality brew. It's very tasty, bursting full of flavour and seems very fairly priced.
