Picked these up just to try some inexpensive ingot molds, and I'm very pleased. They arrived very well packaged and without a single scuff on them. I've done a couple dozen scrap aluminum ingots in each of the pair so far, they work quite well and the resulting ingots are excellent. The aluminum releases easily when it's cooled down, the machining is clean and there are no rough or chipped surfaces, just perfect molds. If you've got a lot of ingots to pour then you may just want more molds, it's a lot easier than sticking the crucible back in the furnace while you wait for these to cool off and release the fresh warm loaf. These have fairly thin walls, worth keeping in mind. You may see videos with people smacking around their thick graphite molds and knocking ingots out of them, but trying that with one of these will surely break it. Sadly I've already dropped one, you can see the broken side in my photo, but I really have no complaints. Graphite molds like these are consumables, doesn't matter how much you spend on them, so inexpensive ones like these are a great resource.

I'm sure they are up to gangui USA standards,and will. allow casting of ingots. Also received 4" search coil for metal detector in good condition.

In the past I've used a muffin pan for ingots after melting down aluminum cans. They work but the whole process can be a bit tricky. These graphite molds make things so much easier. The aluminum reliably slides out with very little effort.

I recently got my first small forge and love melting metals. This cast iron mold really makes things easy. I do heat up the mold prior to pouring and it all goes smooth. Couldn't be happier.

These are a nice size and seems pretty durable. I actually tried to make a brownie with it and it came out nice! I currently collecting more aluminum cause I recently made some ingots but this will surely work well for me.
