Phenomenal story! It will have you at the edge of your seat from beginning to end!
There series has it all. Action. Romance. A compelling storyline filled with character development that made for a straight 8 hour read through from beginning to end. Scorio's continual growth into sort of the every man's hero inspite of his frequent mis-steps make for a compelling read, as he explores the mysterious, alien world of Acherzua. The battles and with dread blazes, pyre lords, blood barons, charnel dukes, fiends, and true fiends of Imperator Level Power are great and awesomely described.I can't wait for book in a series that Phil Tucker has said will probably be 7 books in total! Now I'm going to get to the Cons of this series. The descriptions of the iron weald and the telurian band are a little vague. I simply got the impression of valleys in the Iron weald that lead to inactive volcanoes and vast, rocky plateaus in the Telurian band. I'm sure there is more to these realms than that but that's what I got out of it.The Character Naomi. Her increasingly negative attitude was a downer for the entire books. She's rude to everyone to the point of ridiculousness and her constant jealousy at Scorio's superior advancement got tiresome early on. She can't be happy for someone she supposedly cares about so much when he is able to do well? Scorio allows her to have a bad attitude around everyone while having to walk on eggshells on telling the truth of what a crappy character she is.I understand his loyalty to Naomi since she was first one to help him out as a Char but at some point you have to draw a line with someone. He bends over backwards to help her constantly and even enters into a romantic relationship because he felt it was something she needed, but she remains this nasty person. You can work with someone so much through their issues but after a while I felt like Naomi dragged the whole book down. The fact that Scorio has lax boundaries has ignored the signs that she is an Arch-villain in the making shows how much he has yet to mature as a character. It's my hope that even if Scorio helps this character that's hanging on the precipice of utter darkness(literally in some cases), then he actually starts to stand up for himself.

Great Book
The world has expanded, with new characters and great character development for Scorio. The book leaves you with many questions you're dying to know, but it dangles the answer in future installments.

Always Wonderful to read about The Immortal Great Souls
If you know, Nox the ghost Toad is my favorite other then Scorio I look forward to seeing the 4 book here in the next. 5-8 years and am sure you’ll be able to find joy in this adventure. This book was wonderful some what predictable patterns, but yet enough surprises and challenges to make this book a wonderful work of art. If nothing else, this book raises, creativity in oneself, and helps thirst for more adventure.

Phil Tuckeri’s Great Souls series is WONDERFUL
I wasn’t sure about going to a new author, but I had finished all the latest series of several authors and thought I’d take a chance. LUCK ME! What a totally engrossing tale. I have read all three, and find myself in the same dilemma. Now I am awaiting his fourth novel. I highly recommend him. The plot is very unique and will absolutely captivate you if you are fantasy fan. I highly recommend recommend The Great Soles series.

Give me more!
I definitely enjoyed this series. I wish I had discovered it after it was complete! Well written, interesting characters, and the storyline keeps you hooked. My only dislike is that the characterization of Naomi reminds me too much of the main female character in Phil Tucker’s first series, Dawn of the Void. Even the way they interact with the main character is uncannily similar. I wish he had developed her more uniquely. That aside, I highly recommend these books.

Dense, incredible world building, page turning book
I would love to speak with Phil Tucker to get a peek into this complex and amazing mind of his. Phil is building a world unlike anything I've ever read before. The character development is unreal. The complexity of this world and plots and people are at an entirely different level. While it is vicious and violent it is also endearing and hopeful. In this book Scorio is furthering his venture into hell to learn more about the herdsmen and what is taking place. His relationship with Naomi blossoms and also shatters due to its complexity. The story constantly exceeds and goes beyond anything you can imagine. We're finally starting to see the direction this series. The intricacies and complexities of hell are far more than I couldhave envisioned in book 1. This is again a tribute to Phil Tucker's brain and his storytelling. What an amazing author highly recommend!
