So good I bought another one for another project
The media could not be loaded. Worked great. Couple of things to look out for. Make sure when you are mounting starter that gear does not sit too close to fly wheel. Best to shim before completely assembled. Also one of the motors I did on my pressure washers did not have holes threaded for the charging coil. I quickly rectified this by using a cut off wheel to cut a couple of groves in the last 4 or 5 threads of the supplied bolts so they act like a tap going in the hole and cut their own threads. I found a Pic that gives a good reference and also shows you can use a file for this as well.

Solid Construction - Reliable - FDJ Electric Start Kit Fit for Honda GX390
I'm getting up there in years, time to add a Electric Starter to Old Reliable. The FDJ Electric Start Kit for the Genuine Honda GX390 arrived without instructions, looking on U-Tube I found a few Videos of the process, that got me started (Pun Intended). I used a Bar Puller to remove the flywheel -> Carefully laying the parts out as they will be reinstalled later. Using a 2-1/2" Hole saw I carefully removed the area for the starter cone, I finished opening up the hole with a 1/2 round metal file. Honestly that was the hardest part of the conversion. The FDJ Electric Start Kit is complete for the most part. The starter Bolts were too long, the screws that hold the Charging Coil are too short while the one that guards the charging wire was too long hitting the Charging Coil. The genuine Honda GX390 requires that threads be cut in all three holes under the Flywheel along with the lower start switch housing using a 6M Bottom Tap. All said I gave the FDJ Electric Start Kit Fit for Honda GX390 a Full Four Stars Across the Board. The Electric Starter works very well, Difficulty Installing is about a Three of Five, The Starter Kit is a Affordable Option, The Set is Very Reliable & Durable, to name a few of them. I would buy this item again if needed. Notes: Most Auto Stores Rent Bar Pullers. Be careful to line the Charging Wire Guard with the Metal Pin, also line up the Plastic Pin on the Pull Starter and Cooling Fan before tightening the Flywheel Nut. I painted the new Cast Iron parts inside and out before assembly to prevent Rust. I used Loctite on all fasteners. All of the bolts I has to replace are grade 5 or 8. Use the supplied metal wire wrapper to keep the wires out of harms way.

Great Add-On Starter Kit
The FDJ Electric Start Kit is an excellent small engine start conversion accessory. The product is specifically design to fit a Honda GX390 engine. The durable parts included in the kit are made well with high quality materials. It has all of the components needed to add-on an electric starter to a pull-rope Honda engine. However, this is a mechanical project that’s best performed by a professional or expert level “backyard” garage mechanic, who has the experience and tools needed for installation. It would also require a permanent connection to a 12 volt battery to power the electric starter. Additionally, according the online description, this kit will fit a variety of pull-start engines. Of which an experience mechanic or repair facility might have knowledge about. After the conversion kit is properly installed, I like how it provides two convenient options for starting the engine; by either turning a key or by pulling a rope.

Fantastic
Complete kit. Didn't have to add anything extra in order to get it working. It was a bit confusing at first, but once I started putting things together it became fairly intuitive. The machining of the flywheel is great and it is perfectly balanced. Cranks fast on a 51R battery.Stoked with it, would definitely recommend. I would imagine it would fit a clone engine with zero issues.

Worked how it should
The kit worked as it should, and had everything I needed, the hardest part was removing the spot in the case where the starter mounts.
